Right now our oil export hardly reaches 300K barrels per day. Not even remotely comparable. And Iran's population at the time was 35 million people, not 90 million Iranians and 7 million illegal refugees like now.
There was no aerial or naval blockade on Iran during the Iraq-Iran war.I know what will happen if we bomb all their gas and oil infrastructure in Qatar.
First of all, nothing much will happen to the US itself as the US is the world's largest producer of oil and Canada has the world's third largest natural gas reserves.

We're not self-sufficient even in rice. We import a lot of rice from India, Pakistan and Thailand. How do you want to feed 95 million people when you're not even self-sufficient in the most basic good on the Iranian tables?
You said the whole Shiite world would rise if they killed Khamenei. There are nearly 100 million Shiite people outside of Iran. What did they do when the US killed Khamenei on the first minute of the war?
You said Iran's A2/AD was 5,000 kilometer. In reality, just a few weeks ago, the IRGC threatened the US Navy not to get closer than 300 kilometers to Iran's waters.
You said Iran didn't need nuclear weapons and nuclear weapons were overrated. I told you without nuclear weapons, we wouldn't dare to even respond to the US with the weapons we have.

This war will last at least another 2 years so just better buckle down and be patient. Won't be big missile strikes and explosions everyday unless america forces iran into mutually assured destruction of GCC otherwise Iran is smartly playing the long game.

yeah MAGA is stuffed right now their approval ratings are dogshit. I think Iran is playing the smart game, patience is IQ as well and lack of patience is lack of IQ too. Iran just keep threatening the petrodollar but not pulling the full trigger and waiting until a democrat government comes into place and sign a good deal for Iran.
Its quite smart for IRGC to play waiting game and America is too scared to lose their cash cow and petro dollar which is GCC so we are at an impasse but American government changes every few years and Iran does not so Iran can wait them out.
