US don’t need a huge fleet of expensive stealth Jets if you have air superiority around the globe, so just makes a lot sense to have a big fleet of non-stealth jets like build a new F16 viper that have the latest tech to participate in the modern battle-space. Case in point: B-52.

And to add, if the F-47 has Canards, it cannot be a 5th Gen or 6th Gen platform as per what many said about J-20 not being a "true" 5th gen platform because it had canards.

Quantity is a quality in itself. To be able to quickly ramp up production and logistics is at least valuable as having the latest equipment that is less easily replaceable during war.

Both US and China should be building more of their 4.5 Generation jets f16 vipers. And JC10CEs.
