No, my friend, there aren't "two states" in Yemen because 80% of the population lives under the Houthi rule, rest of country is a great desert. Secondly, the Houthis are winning the war and there are already several agreements with tribes in the south of the country.
The Houthis are supported by Iran, China, and North Korea (which is a major supplier of weapons and military training for them).

NOTE: All of this war, like all wars in the Middle East, is orchestrated by Zionists who use their puppets and proxies.

How about the forum has simply become a haven of fake news and misinformation? Because, quite frankly, neither is the sole domain of these Zionists you often reference.

From what I understand, South Yemen isn't really sympathetic to the Houthis and has a long history of separatism in fact.

What's the optimal solution? Two states? A single state with regional autonomy for regions? Something else?

The cleaning of the houthis is the end game in Yemen and nothing else short of it. They are under severe pressure and taking massive losses and it is a matter of time when they will collapse ANA style. It is absolutely coming and will come as surprise once they are fatigued beyond recovery and they are about to enter that phase very soon. Conlfict has gone on for 12 years without resolution
