This statement makes no sense.

1 - Falklands are not covered under the NATO treaty.

2 - Syria is not covered under the NATO treaty.

NATO is a defensive organisation, not offensive.

Exactly right. NATO doesn't protect whatever colonial or overseas adventures Europeans decide to jolly off on. And there is specific phraseology built in that excludes Falklands from NATO coverage. It is quite reasonable if you think about it.
