People often think there is just one group behind all of US theatrics and decision making. However there is not only infighting among one group but many experts believe there are many groups that are pulling the strings behind everything going on in America.

Voting doesn't matter because the powers behind the scenes, the oligarchy, decides the fate of America and not the president

So far the ones that have shown their faces to the world are:

1. Military Industrial Complex - many presidents talked about them and their power in politics. They need forever wars to keep selling weapons
2. CIA deepstate - Treats the world like a chessboard and aims to strangle, contain and surround other nations.
3. Neo conservative faction - aka neo cons are often christian zionists who wish to project american power through the world
4. Jewish zionists - Strong control over media and business. Aims are often to benefit of israel but painful for Americans
5. Tech Billionaires - elon musk, zuckerberg etc wants to dominate AI and the world by incorporating all the data as well. Only few countries do not send their data to usa.

There may be other factions involved as well including powerful secret societies but i think these factions are the main ones who are jostling for power. Who do you think has the most power? Do you think their aggression will benefit the USA long term? Keep in mind the current climate that USA is 40tn in debt, bond rates through the roof and if unable to borrow trillions more money from allies, will fall into recession/depression.
