Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

Your views are far too extreme; you have entered the danger zone of extremism.
Of course, that is your right, and I have no authority to interfere.
Let me reiterate: I have no stance on this war. Therefore, please do not try to persuade me to support or oppose either side.
Or, you could simply ignore me—just as I have ignored so many others.

What Extremism? this is the stance of the recognized gov´t and this is what they released today in cabinet meeting. They listed the houthis as terrorist organistation which means no more ceasefire or even talks with the houthis..

There is no extremism in believing riding terrorism off a country or their capability in doing so and calling that extremism is uncalled for.. I am not here either to convince you to support one or the other side I couldn´t careless

The Cabinet has approved a draft law regarding the classification of the Houthi group as a terrorist organization, the criminalization of its activities and funding, based on the proposal submitted by the Minister of Legal Affairs, and has directed the completion of the necessary constitutional and legal procedures to ratify the law.

Yemen is experiencing a critical phase titled the restoration of sovereignty over the entire national territory and the overthrow of the Iranian-funded and managed Houthi coup.

The Council praised the victories achieved by the Southern Giants Brigade, the Homeland Shield Forces, and the Popular Resistance, with support from the Legitimacy Support Coalition, foremost among them the steady advance toward control of the Bab al-Mandab Strait following the liberation of Dhobab and strategic sites in its vicinity, and the severing of the road between Dhobab and Al-Makha.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Houthi terrorism will not alter the course of the battle, nor halt its progress, nor turn back the clock, affirming that the government is not managing a temporary defensive phase nor awaiting events, but rather leading the state's institutions in a national battle to restore its authority.

The Cabinet listened to a briefing from the Minister of Defense on field developments, readiness levels, and the necessary requirements to continue operations, and announced its full support for the operation and the mobilization of all state capabilities to support it.

The Council appreciated the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—and the role of the Legitimacy Support Coalition in supporting the "Dawn of Yemen" operations, affirming that the two countries represent a security system and a shared destiny in confronting a cross-border threat embodied by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, and that their security is indivisible.#فجر_اليمن

Can MBS survive the disaster that is the Yemen war that he restarted ?! He has been nothing but a serial strategic failure for Saudi interests, and at some point, the Saudi system has to show him the door...

This is no miscalculation by any means necessary but a battle to clean filth.

It has no importance over any airport or petro tanker etc etc but it is a national security matter cleaning yemen. Letting Yemen fester doesn´t benefit anyone or letting terrorist elements set camp there

Imam and preacher of Al-Saeed Mosque in the city of Taiz, Sheikh Hassan, denies the validity of the circulating reports about the mosque being subjected to shelling, following the circulation of an old video dating back to 2015.

And who gets to decide it is "dirty"? Saudi ? What gives them that right ? Saudi conduct in Yemen has been less than stellar and is directly responsible for very significant civilian casualties in Yemen..

Correct bahi and I am trying to hold my tongue but I am sorry, attacking civilian airports and seeing visuals of men in ihram injured and dead is frankly unacceptable.
War is brutal. It is a massive meat grinder.

Before making a decision, we must reflect deeply and deliberate carefully. Once the decision to go to war has been made, however, there must be no hesitation; otherwise, a war waged with hesitation will only prove all the more brutal.

So, we can only wait quietly to see how the situation unfolds.

Houthis has had 6 failed uprisings between 2004 and 2010 meaning they were beaten down 6 times and their leader killed etc etc until 2014 they finally succeeded in carrying out a coup to size the capital and size the north and even the south on their 7th uprising before getting kicked out by the Giants brigades from the south back in 2015.

But rest assured it is a militant group that has targetted the state.. They are the filth because the yemeni people and the saudis are saying it likewise and whomever is strongest will rewrite history and claim control eventually but with the houthis came the disaster on yemen not the other way around. Yemen use to be a sleepy peaceful country

They should carpet bomb the territories held by the Houthis
too late they have been doing that unless you believe Saudis have indefinite number of precision guided missiles like America and Israel pretend to have which both of those countries at one point of time did

Regional countries should launch their own carpet bombing campaigns. Just flatten the lands of Sheba and Abraha.

Yeah I’m not for attacks on civilians nor pretending it was justified in my eyes but eye for an eye tooth for a tooth Saudis and their proxies have been hitting many civilian areas can’t say it’s justifiable but that’s where we are at mbs isn’t the savior but a crook but bad optics on the Houthis no one cares if a thousand civilians die in Houthi controlled territory but start blowing up and international airport with civilians from multiple countries dying than you might have to deal with more fallout than you expected

A tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye. Lets see where that gets us very soon.
