So for 50km range they removed the lower fins lengthened the missile, removed the command cabin??, itna bhi pessimistic ni hona chayea. This latest F2 test is to verify the actual F2 range, which was 450 km from inception. no 1000km etc etc
The NOTAM coverage was 1000km if I am not mistaken. So for 50km range they removed the lower fins lengthened the missile, removed the command cabin??, itna bhi pessimistic ni hona chayea.
Exactly impact point would have been in the sea or may they just wanted to check rentry and flight characteristics of this missile who knows, one thing we know is from previous tests, the always showed the impact and NOTAM was never 1000km. Strange to give such large NOTAM or even go as far to Modify TEL and missile just for 50km increase. The NOTAM coverage was 1000km if I am not mistaken.
What we have seen in the past is that NOTAM’s had 50km buffer at max.Exactly impact point would have been in the sea or may they just wanted to check rentry and flight characteristics of this missile who knows, one thing we know is from previous tests, the always showed the impact and NOTAM was never 1000km. Strange to give such large NOTAM or even go as far to Modify TEL and missile just for 50km increase.
Hypersonic missile need to test with extreme safety measures not meant to test full range byt to test speed and accuracy and newly installed hypersonic solid fuel motors.Exactly impact point would have been in the sea or may they just wanted to check rentry and flight characteristics of this missile who knows, one thing we know is from previous tests, the always showed the impact and NOTAM was never 1000km. Strange to give such large NOTAM or even go as far to Modify TEL and missile just for 50km increase.
How is it confirmed when they haven't released the impact footage?CEP is only less than -05m "Confirmed
Video available on youtube search it.How is it confirmed when they haven't released the impact footage?
So ER is just for creating hype?
Your description is incomplete. As we know there are two possible ways to increase the range of a rocket
1- Either change the fuel to more efficient fuel type which can sustain burn rate to a longer duration or
2- Change the rocket motor to the more powerful one.
Related to the F-2 ER test we can't say which route they have adopted but test video was showing the length of fir exiting from rocket motor was notably longer then previous videos which might be the indication of some tweak or change to the rocket motor.
In the end it's all guesswork nothing else.
Missiles are test fired from Tilla range Jhelum or Somiani range .Exactly impact point would have been in the sea or may they just wanted to check rentry and flight characteristics of this missile who knows, one thing we know is from previous tests, the always showed the impact and NOTAM was never 1000km. Strange to give such large NOTAM or even go as far to Modify TEL and missile just for 50km increase.
the sea in a straight line was around 650 kms, and the designated splash zone went as far as 1000 kms away, so yeah i would put the range somewhere between 750 and 850 kms...Exactly impact point would have been in the sea or may they just wanted to check rentry and flight characteristics of this missile who knows, one thing we know is from previous tests, the always showed the impact and NOTAM was never 1000km. Strange to give such large NOTAM or even go as far to Modify TEL and missile just for 50km increase.
