Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

The NOTAM coverage was 1000km if I am not mistaken.
Exactly impact point would have been in the sea or may they just wanted to check rentry and flight characteristics of this missile who knows, one thing we know is from previous tests, the always showed the impact and NOTAM was never 1000km. Strange to give such large NOTAM or even go as far to Modify TEL and missile just for 50km increase.

What we have seen in the past is that NOTAM’s had 50km buffer at max.

Hypersonic missile need to test with extreme safety measures not meant to test full range byt to test speed and accuracy and newly installed hypersonic solid fuel motors.

CEP is only less than -05m "Confirmed".
Speed 5 to 7 Mach and renenty vehicle means warhead can reach up to Mach 15 to 20 "Speculated"

S-400 tu vard gaya.

Changing approach even midflight top attack missile so you can safely say a Quasi Hypersonic Ballistic missile with an option to modify even shaheen series solid motors with Hypersonic speed,

As we know there are two possible ways to increase the range of a rocket

1- Either change the fuel to more efficient fuel type which can sustain burn rate to a longer duration or

2- Change the rocket motor to the more powerful one.

Related to the F-2 ER test we can't say which route they have adopted but test video was showing the length of fir exiting from rocket motor was notably longer then previous videos which might be the indication of some tweak or change to the rocket motor.

In the end it's all guesswork nothing else.
Your description is incomplete.

In addition to the two options you listed, there is a third configuration: the waverider warhead.

The DF-17 series of hypersonic missiles includes not only the common waverider warhead variant but also a biconic warhead variant.

The propulsion stages for both are identical—there is no difference between them; the only distinction lies in the warheads.

Compared to the biconic variant, the waverider variant offers greater range and superior maneuvering capabilities for evading defenses; however, its drawback is a smaller payload capacity, resulting in reduced explosive power.
