Integrated battlefield with force multipliers works wonders for USAF i.e. F-16s with AWACs, EW platforms, and other support aircrafts. That's how USAF operates, not 1 vs 1.

Perhaps this illustration shows that we created an 'electronic blackhole', using ground based systems, from where the F-16s operated, to make use of their AMRAAMs at a closer range than PL-15Es......

However, why did not the F-16s engage even when they were closer to the eventually destroyed aircraft than the J-10s??

You cant convince the west worshippers here. They can't understand different eras belong to different powers. Time never stays the same. This and upcoming era belongs to china.

The best we can do is to look for upgrades even as the force realigns itself around China's leading edge platforms.

Second, if Pakistan expands the J-10C fleet (I hear plans to grow it to approximately 70 aircraft), they can operate in escort role to our MR F-16s which still have the distinction of carrying the most significant air to surface, precision attack load out of any other aircraft in the PAF inventory.

This means more effective interdiction on the ground while taking advantage of J-10C's long stick.

If F-16s weren't meant to be in combat, they wouldn't be in the air in the first instance. PAF's strategy through diverse platforms is ever evolving. Not everything in combat is black and white.

Brother I never said to ditch the existing inventory of US equipment. I said not to procure a newer one .Reasons are US has lost the edge plus it's expensive for a country like Pakistan to buy US equipment. Look at our current economic conditions,the current conditions only dictate a bang for a buck.

F-16 still matter, if we want to upgrade our F-16 its possible via Turkish upgrades and Turkish Ramjet BVR similar to meteor and then our F-16 will become similar to our J-10C in term of capabilities

PAF flies different F16 variants with varying capabilities. I think a dangerous deterrent is a mix of J-10 and F-16 or JF-17 and F-16.

That keeps India guessing what’s coming in that sortie.

I think we should invest in J-10Cs as an alternative to the F-16s.
