They are the best until they are not. When I would hire I'd looked for the best or who qualified and a few didn't last the month. Btw I never hired anyone with names like De'Vonte, Trayvon, etc etc etc.... Those were red flag names.

Used to work with two black men who were excellent co-workers.

Their names were General Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

( The father wanted his two boys to have names that will get them hired anywhere in Tennessee.)

Would you believe an ESPN sports announcer by the name of Robert Lee was removed from broadcasting a college football game in Virginia in part because of his name?

Would it come as a shock to you he is also black?

The names he mentioned are predominantly used in the African American community - that's a fact, not as assumption.

And if that's not what he meant, I would love to know why else he would discriminate based on names - what the "red flags" that he mentioned are.

I'm so offended and feel attacked by this fellow member accusing me of racial discrimination hiring which is sooooo illegal. To assume the names DeVonte and Trayvon mean blacks is also offensive to me that my monocle fell into my tea.
