Same thing these guys pulled earlier in Syria too on Assad. Bought off all the generals and gave em all a million dollars each and houses in AL-Turkiya or Dubai. They all abandoned Assad.

Well to be fair I’m no fan of Assad and if jolani actually had a real backbone believed in the supposed cause of freeing Syria from tyranny he would start asking for Arab and Muslim states for some sort of protection or real backing in Syria versus lip service I’m not talking about fighting Israel but man I still would love to see what the Israelis would do if a multinational arab Muslim force decided to hold military exercises in Syria would Israel bomb the hell out of them or start doing a lot lip service themselves

They're without a doubt going to attack. Iran is in a worse position than the previous war. Hezbollah is exhausted after near 2 straight years of war. Gaza was annihilated. Syria is too weak and likely to come under some limited but disruptive attacks. Otherwise the way to Iran is open for Israel and they have many squadrons and many defense batteries.

Israel is prepared for this. In 12 day war it was more desperate and not fully prepared, more reactive due to True Promise 1 & 2. Iran likely doesn't have surprises for Israel.

I believe Iran and Iraqi factions will heavily shell the GCC region if it comes under attack. Particularly Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Not sure how the US would react to that. I wouldn't keep your hopes up for anything of significance happening to Israel.

They are definitely attacking before mid terms. You have to be smart and realize there are two types of “leaks”.

The rogue leak, someone is leaking news for a particular reason to influence Congress or the whitehouse.

The intentional leak, intelligence agencies and White House is calling their “reporters” to leak them a fake disinformation story so the enemy gets tricked into thinking its an unintentional rogue leak. This helps confuse the enemy or make them believe something else (psychops).

In this case, all the articles coming out saying the attack is after mid terms is to get Iran to lower its guard when the intention has been to strike before midterms from the very start.

Oh I believe before or even when voting starts is a definite possibility but I’m 50/50 before Israel’s elections unless the Iranians take the bait the Israelis are trying to give them with those planes flying near Irans border night

If there's another round (may not be one, still a possibility there's a breakthrough) then it will look like previous war on less intense scale but more targeting of oil production and shipping by Iran to attempt to impose costs on US/region.

US will likely not approve strikes on Iranian oil infrastructure at this stage but target remainder of Iranian missile infrastructure+ nuclear program. Even some of the same targets a second time.

Iran can't take the 'bait' because there's nothing a first strike will achieve for them. If it could achieve something they'd consider it. It's also not being fooled by the reports and I wouldn't agree that if an attack happens it was successful 'pysops'. They cannot defend their airspace and are heavily exposed in this manner so they're likely to come under attack first.

What gets me is why agree to stop targeting oil tankers? The visit by Lavrov and others was to ask them to stop doing that leading up to mid terms even though it gives them a strategic advantage. Them agreeing to host those leaders means they already agreed to stop.

I think it's too late for IR to go up escalation ladder and they're in trouble for foreseeable future. The window to go up escalation ladder closed and it's now like a slow death for the regime being executed in phases that the region and global economy can bear.
