Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

The Yemeni armed forces and the coalition says that they will consider any gatherings in Houthi held areas as legitimate military target.

Isn’t that the same kind of deplorable tactic the Israelis have been using to commit ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza?

Substantiate what? Buddy you accept and reject at the same time, you cannot separate and look at things in isolation like pre Islam and post Islam.

This...
Yemenis historically have remained client state of persia, protecting their interests, nothing new here. The reason you read traditions glorifying yemenis and cursing death upon arabs.
You have made a systemic argument based on just half century rule.
Which is why, I noted the systemic differences
* Faith
Pre Islam,
They followed Christianity back then... intermixed with pagan and Jewish tribes that had self rule.
Post Islam,
Their branch of Shi'ism differs fundamentally from Twelver creed in two key theological concepts...
* Zaidis believe in resistance against oppression while Twelver school is primarily dissociated from politics of power... i.e. the quiet school.. only the latest iteration in Vilayat Faqih they have disconnected from the orthodoxy. And zaidis refused to denigrate Sahaba calling the Twelver creed as Rafida.
* Trade
Here again the two routes didn't overlap kr compete against each other. One was an over land route traversing Persia and lands beyond the other was a shipping channel connecting Africa, East Asia and Asia Minor/West Asia.

Now on the Iranian side... taking over happy Yemen was a coup in making that key trading facility under Persian thumb. But that has no lasting legacy in religion, language(the two languages belong to different family trees altogether) or trade.

For the longest time after the Persian conquest they were primarily Sunni Muslims, unlike the zaidi perch in Yemen. Second, the Twelver creed is not Persian but Iraqi or centered around Najaf. It wasn't until the Safavid takeover of Persia that Twelver Shi'ism became the state religion in 1500s.
That connection you care to make does not exist... never did...

Of all the parties involved in Yemen, there's only 1 party that has absolute conviction that destruction of Yemen will usher in the messianic age.
Is this real?
Do you know that Zaidis have NO Imam ghaib?
Do you know they do not believe in infalliblity of Imams either?

Is that an uno reverse attempt from you to counter the zionist apocalypse or thousand years of messianic rule?

Yes, do elaborate on that

Now if a group amongst them has taken upon itself to become a ritual sacrifice, then when it's given to them the thing they seek, they cry that the heavens have forsaken them.
Another false equivocation...
Zaidis believe in resistance and rising up against oppressive rule... just as Imam Zayd!

And just so you know, He didn't win.

When people self immolate in religious duty, how many witness to the crime gets punished for being bystanders? Technically speaking if you support your neighbours right to burn his house down, you are technically enabling a social injustice as per conventions.
So, your main concern is the crime vicariously... wrongly attributed?

Got it.

The lineage business sells greatly, it's a fact of life, look at the noble Persians. Despite their pride in their gene pool, they make Arabs supreme leaders and embodiment of their existence. Nobody goes around questioning their wisdom. It's just accepted as a fact of life.

Well, the current and former Supreme leaders are both ethnic Azeri and not Persian...
So, try again.

Any truck driver who carry houthi weapons for them and his truck become legitimate target or any construction company digs anything is a target from now on.. Any truck driver has to self himself

That will only prolong the fighting

The classic colonial approach was to always fund the minority group into pacifying the plurality... it made the belligerents go humble and easier to rule.

If this Saudi push goes successful for whatever reason don't be surprised by their push to takeover the leftover rump and absorb it into the kingdom.

Yes, that is a very well known playbook of the colonialists. But then what does that make what Iran has done with the Houthis then? Isn't that exactly the playbook they've also been using?

By making Houthis rule their own land?
Are Houthis a minority?
Zaidis ruled the same parts for 1100 years. Longer than current Iranian or Saudi clan rule.

What you're saying is that you're fine with Saudi takeover of Yemen.

Now that is a burn right there...

As they seek commercial investments and government subsidies tk reopen maybe you can chip in... open a go fund me page or just man those interceptor batteries that the kingdom used up to protect zion and has none left for itself.
You really think that financial issue will do jack to Israel? they have people in US that can throw few hundred billions in bailout if they really need it, like I said Houthis Missiles were practically useless against Israel.
