Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

Private sources:

In the past two days, the Houthis withdrew five brigades from Taiz; 3 of them towards the east, Marib and Al-Jawf, and 2 to Hodeidah.
That is why the confrontations on the Taiz fronts today have subsided since the morning, and the Houthis rely on bombing, sniping, and specific weapons such as Kornet missiles.

These are indicators that confirm that the Houthis expect the rest of the fronts to launch within the next two days.

This has been the case for the last week or so as the Taiz armed forces have begun retaking areas in the taiz countryside.

The Houthis have given up on Taiz from a tactical point of view because they are facing threats that can end them in other theaters and they have problems recruiting now but this was actully the most sane decision taken by the houthis on tactical level but majority of the damage is already done for that 6 weeks they wasted everything on Taiz, they can never undo that or change that decision that ruined their manpower.

5 brigades is just 7500 which is really not that much which itself goes to show you how much the houthis got thinned out. They have lost approx 105k-120k Since the war broke out again in this July, they are on average losing 1000 fighters across all fronts daily. 1000 X 120 days which is 4 month then you are looking at 120k and if we go conversative it will be 105k. They have lost leaders across the board even their spokesperson, at this point the only remaining guy from the leadership is Abdul Malik himself and his deputy.

If the consistency is kept they will volunetarily vacate all major cities and try to retreat into the Saada mountain ranges to make their last stand.

What changed between now and the last 7 years the houthis fought in the Yemen civil war before the ceasefire??? Alot has changed especially technologically.

Both sides were ragtags in the first 7 years all tho the Houthis possessed BMs and CMs but these can´t change a conventional conflict.

Then the ceasefire happened in April 2022 that is 4 years of peace time in Yemen where the lines have not changed nor has gunfire exchanged.

Both sides evolved during this 4 years significiantly but more so the Anti-houthi forces becasue now they had enough time to actully train armed forces, equip them well, and they added some much needed new weapons in their inventory it also coincided with the Saudi drone game improving which also lead to the Yemen armed forces drone game improving significiantly. They have acesses to Turkish drones, Ukrainian, and drones from other markets including their home made drones have improved significiantly. Plus Saudi air campaign increased significiantly including the intel being shared with them helped them eliminate alot of leaders.

All of sudden the Houthis were outgunned. The Houthis use to rely on aggression and surprises all that have been squashed aside and for the first time the houthis realized especially the leadership that they face irreversible defeat one they didn´t believe was possible. They are outgunned this time which also suggests why the kill rate is so ridiculously high and they are losing on average 1000 fighters daily and they can´t keep this attrition.. Their fighters use to be safe in their mountain caves but not anymore as these cave and trenches have become like a tank? It is a burial place for 3 people but for the caves it can be A burial place for 10 or more people and you can see drones entering them easily and effectively nullifying the houthis mountain forces and ground forces equally effective

Govt forces backed by popular resistance fighters recaptured Mount Al-Manarah in Al-Aqroud during a counterattack against the Houthis tonight amid ongoing clashes, according to local sources. The mountain overlooks Al-Misrakh’s district center, south of #Taiz.#Yemen

@Watandar , why are you siding with the Houthis?
The entire world is siding with Saudi Arabia including Pakistan.
I also side with Saudi Arabia on this one.
Why is it necessary for others to explicitly take a side?
Do the groups you’re referring to actually support Saudi Arabia?

International politics is not a matter of "either/or"!

In China, the official stance is one of neutrality; the government has called on all parties to exercise restraint.

Among the general public, however, sentiment is overwhelmingly in favor of the Houthis.

This does not mean that people actually endorse the Houthi ideology; rather, it stems from the perception that Saudi Arabia is, quite frankly, incompetent.

Our true position is that we neither support nor oppose either side—we are merely spectators! Our stance would only shift if one of the warring parties were to harm our interests. Right now, we simply believe the Houthis will win this war, nothing more.

You got a side we all know this.. Besides why would you be against someone you think is incompetent? I think that is being dishonest. You view the Saudis as in an enemy camp which is the case here.

Besides we know that all the BM and CM materials are shipped from China..

You assume the Houthis are on your camp........

Seems like China has silently chosen a side in this........... China is with Russia and Iran! Hence they are not neutral at all.

China is a sitting and silent enemy against our civilization which is very well known the chinese can stay silent on this as much as they like.. The West-Sunnis are allies whether people like it or not and we are the only remnants of the old world.

China is that dangerous sitting, silent and observing dragon.. We see China coming from miles.

The Chinese-Russian order includes replacing out both the West and Sunnis to bring about a new world. Where the old worlds divisions or neither groups exist. They want to entirely replace that world.

China supported Assad which means China is potentially an enemy state that is being silent and calculating, manvouering between states etc etc

Let me say this again!

On this issue, neither the Chinese government nor the Chinese public takes a side. We neither support nor oppose either party. This is perfectly clear!

I am well aware that you support Saudi Arabia and oppose the Houthis.

However, in public discourse, many of us believe the Houthis are more likely to win this war. That is all—it does not mean that we are taking any concrete action to support them.

Think of it like a boxing match: the Chinese people are not fans of either side; we are merely spectators.

You got right to chose your side.. By Ramadan which is around the Chinese new year you will see the houthis retreat from majority of the major cities they hold.. Forget them winning they will be hunted down..

The Chinese actually have massive investments and stakes in Saudi Arabia from Yanbu to Riyadh but do not take sides in a muslim vs muslim conflict.

Certain Chinese members may feel one way or another but from a state to state perspective the chinese government does not take sides. In fact Chinese just hope their investments don't get bombed thats about it.

I ask again weeb walay, would you rather side with this terrible judgement made by entities who clearly see no difference between sunni/shia/houthi whatever and judge all muslims as enemies - or would you see it thru a lens of what is right and what is wrong.

AnsarAllah fight for the rights of palestinians against a world order that wishes to see muslims as a whole servile to the zionists.
I have lived in Saudi Arabia, and the Saudi government is staunchly anti-Zionist.

Of course the Saudi government will do what is in Saudi Arabia's interests first before worrying about others. That includes the Palestinians and other Muslim countries.

This should have been an obvious one.

Official Spokesman for the Armed Forces:

Our armed forces continue their offensive pressure on the enemy across the northern fronts, the Al-Jawf fronts and western Marib, Al-Bayda, and the southern and western fronts as part of Operation "Yemen Dawn," and during the past 24 hours, they executed (780) precise and direct targeting operations that struck field commanders and gatherings of the Houthi terrorist militia and its reinforcements, as well as positions of its heavy weapons, its fortified sites, and its vehicles and means of transporting personnel and supplies.

The successive strikes have led to disarray in the organization of its forces and deprived it of supporting its forward positions; thereby enhancing the momentum of the initiative and enabling our units to continue executing their offensive tasks across the various fronts.

The operations have resulted in neutralizing approximately (512) elements of the militia and its commanders, and destroying or disabling more than (330) vehicles, mechanisms, and military means of transporting personnel, in addition to destroying heavy weapons and reinforcements that were en route to the combat lines in Taiz.

The armed forces affirm that the capabilities of the militia and its mobilizations will remain under surveillance and targeting, and that every attempt to compensate for its losses or regain the initiative will be confronted with strength and resolve, in a manner consistent with international humanitarian law, and with the necessary precautions taken to protect civilians and civilian assets.
