Who is this guy though? Last time I checked, he's basically a civilian with no authoritative position in the Iranian system.

The best way to resolve the border issue with Pakistan is to stop smuggling cheap gasoline to Pakistan. If the Islamic Republic is really serious about guarding our national interests, just stop the smuggling of Iran's cheap gasoline to Pakistan. As soon as that happens and gasoline starts to skyrocket in Pakistan, the border will be open immediately.

As for Iraq, stop exporting electricity to Iraq. Stop transiting the Iraqi internet data through our fiber network. Shut down their navigation in the Arvand River before they even get to the Strait of Hormuz. Push for reparations for the Iraq-Iran war. Document the role of the Iraqi government in allowing its air space to be used against Iran by the Israeli Air Force. Basically, every Israeli attack on Iran used the Iraqi airspace. And most importantly, hit the crap out of their energy infrastructure in the next war.

The good news is that the resistance line at $110 for Brent Crude has finally been broken. If this trend continues, the new resistance line will be around $120 soon. Also, West Texas Oil is intentionally priced lower than what it should be. WTI should be around $107-$108 if you look at older chart data and its correlation with Brent Crude.

The bad news is that $120 per barrel is still too low. As I said, back in 2003 after the US invasion of Iraq, oil prices jumped to $120-$130. Adjusted for inflation, that would be close to $180 per barrel.

In my opinion, anything below $150 is still too low to convince even the European countries to ask for an exit strategy. Even the European countries agree with the US that the US should keep the pressure on Iran. Actual pressure on the US itself will happen after $180 per barrel.
