Indian General Admits: We Cannot Defend India Against Pakistan & China

I wonder why the penny took sooooooo long to drop for them ?! lol !!!
Baba , since I am banned from American perspective thread I want to answer your latest post here...I hope mods will overlook my audacity.....first of all Iran doesn't have the capability to destroy aircraft carriers ..... second , American aircraft carriers are defined as American sovereign territory , attacking them is like attacking mainland America.... you are smart enough to figure out the consequences.

I'd be surprised if a sitting Indian military officer would say what the OP video said--I watched only a few seconds of that. No point wasting time on that: China is a strategic military rival to America--forget India. And India has never defeated Pakistan--the current Pakistan--in all its war. And as far as I can see, Pakistan's military capabilities, especially the Space, the AI warfare and the Airforce are going to get better and better against India.

I think they had the opportunity and I do think they have had the technical ability to hit and disable( you can't really sink an aircraft carrier) but I think they have wasted their opportunity to do so and now the USN is not going to come anywhere near the Iranians.

( off topic )

So, what you are saying is that the US has a right to attack Iranian mainland, but somehow is immune to getting back in return on its ships?

I don't follow the logic of why we think there should be some form of immunity. Maybe I am old fashioned and think that a war, is well, a war.

Not having the technical ability is one thing, but the right to do it is. What more can the USA do to Iran that it has not already done so?

( off topic - but this is the last of this on this thread..)

Yup, we just need to keep up modernisation, especially in the air force. In next 5 years if we induct more JF-17C/J-10C/J-35s on a decent scale there is a very good chance you will see a PAF with an average aircraft age of around 10-12 years and an IAF (Who have no immediate inductions in the pipeline) touching an average aircraft age of 50 years

Lots of work needed in this sphere to be honest. But Pakistan is headed in the right direction.

Opportunity was there and it's still there , even , punny Qatar and Oman have the opportunity.... problem is capacity , Iran neither had one nor has one...these primitive missiles are not good enough to disable ACs .

Not to mention, the Turkish drones, which are highly rated, can be at Pakistan's disposal on short notice.
We had discussed the disparities between the Pakistan and Indian Air Forces in another thread. There is no competition already and the gap is going to widen. As for the land forces, the last time India mobilized for a major land war was in 2002 (Operation Parakarum?); there has been parity on land war since Pakistan's very foundation in 1947 and thus the modern Pakistani borders have remained the same. Indian Navy is better but not enough.
As for Indian airforce, your post says enough.

Morality is a refuge of the meek and you are attempting to take refuge there.

100% For some reason (lack of cash, imminent J-35 induction, exports to Azeris etc) pace of JF-17C and J-10C induction was slowed to almost zero or very little since 2024, or we are simply not getting info about it.
By now I was hoping of the single F-7PG unit replaced and at least 1 Mirage unit replaced. By 2028 we should be looking at an all F-16/J-17/J-10 fleet with maybe the J-35.

That means our oldest units will be F-16s delivered in the 80s and only representing around 20% of the fleet. Everything else being less then 20 years old.

You will have an enemy flying mostly Jaguars (60 years old), MIG-29/Mirage 2000 (40 years old), SU-30s (30 years old). Only 5% of their fleet will be less then 20 years old (the 28 off Rafails).

That is an absolutely shocking state of affairs if it comes to pass, but it is very very possible
