The problem for Trump is that if he starts the war before the elections, there is no guarantee that Iran will agree to a 3 day exchange of fire, and he runs the risk of the war running over the voting period itself. That is the biggest problem Trump faces with restarting the war before the elections.

Big decision for Trump.

Also if Netanyahu does lose the election, does he have the mandate to start a war?

I dont think there will be war until the mid-term results start to become clear.

If trumps holds atleast the senate he has a chance to block democrat attempts to impeach him so it gives him 2 years still to work on Iran. But if Democrats win both houses, he will know that he will be constantly battling democrat attempts to remove him so I think the window of attack in his mind will shift between November (post mid-terms) to January (when the elected take office). Thats the period the whole region could go up in flames as he will want to maximise the damage. Thats my take on things.

1- Give assurances that MDA is not against Iran
2- Give assurances that the Saudi airspace not be used to attack Iran
3- Reign in the Houthis attack
4- Pakistan and Turkey would intervene when they can against Israelis attacking Iran

The visiting delegation was led by security/defense officials.

I don't see the Democrats winning the Congress to the strength to impeach Trump. Also, however 'lame duck' Trump may become, he will figure out ways to attack Iran; the power residing in the office of the President of USA trumps--pun intended--the power of Congress when it comes to wars and even generally foreign affairs. Look at how the various POTUS waging wars in last several decades.
In theory, there are checks and balances. Those are just theories when it comes to foreign affairs.
On a heart attack would give the region peace of mind.

- meeting in Türkiye to take place between mediators
- proposals have been shared with US and Iran
- aim to have concessions from both sides, no further hostilities - Iran would open SOH on 7th day of plan being implemented and negotiations would begin.
- This would include aim to cease all hostilities in Yemen
