North Korea has fired around 12 short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea, South Korea’s military says. The missiles were launched from Wonsan and flew approximately 250 km.The launch comes amid heightened tensions along the inter-Korean border following a land mine blast on September 21 that injured three South Korean soldiers.

North Korea has also threatened further military measures, while a North Korean self-propelled howitzer was spotted near the western front line earlier this week. South Korea described the artillery deployment as likely intended primarily for show.Pyongyang denies responsibility for the mine blast. South Korea says it remains vigilant and is coordinating with the United States and Japan.

A few days ago, the new China-North Korea bridge over the Yalu River opened to traffic. Since then, hundreds of heavy trucks have been traveling between the two countries every day.
Ever since North Korea became involved in the Russia-Ukraine war, it has received many "good things" from Russia.
Perhaps Kim Jong-un feels more confident now!

The KN-25 MLRS has a maximum range of 300–400 km. It poses no threat to land-based targets in Japan. If North Korea were to threaten Japan, it would employ other weapons, not the KN-25 MLRS.
