Off topic, better for a prepper thread (hint), Detroit was with no power for four days. No riots. Lots of neighbors standing in line.

I gave the neighbors 18 steaks I had just bought the day before. That sucked.

(Gave it to a father with his family of five kids. Told him, enjoy, I am heading to family with their power on.)

I suspect that number may increase in time. Right now I think it is more of getting people to make the "mind shift" after what we have at the moment, which is where the UK is a very reliable, safe, benign place to live so far.

In other news, a crack head on the east side was electrocuted trying to strip copper at a substation when the power came back on.
