He won't need to veto. As the President, he can wage war without requiring anything from Congress. This is how all US Presidents operate.

Yes, unless the Congress passes a resolution to end the war with Iran, in that case Trump will use his veto power.

If both the Senate and the Congress pass such a resolution with two-thirds of the votes, Trump can no longer veto it and must end the war but that is extremely unlikely because the Republicans will prevent that from happening.

The Congress still can refuse to fund his war though. It won't stop him from launching a war, but it could limit the scale and duration of his strikes.

Let's see what the US has achieved thus far:

- Nuclear program and the billions spent on it has been greatly setback, with pickaxe being next on the list
- The billions we spent on the navy has been completely eradicated, reduced to fishing boats.
- Top leadership and generals killed off one by one with impunity
-The Economy has literally collapsed and is now the size of a small country like Kuwait
- We have suffered $150+ Billion worth of damages
- Iranian airspace is now constantly violated on a daily basis and casualties are mounting up without any appropriate response or measures
- Thousands of Iranians are dead and millions displaced
- Our Air Defense has also took a beating, to the point that incursions can now be made inside Iran
- Though underground missile storage and manufacturing is intact, no one can deny the beating we took from missile launchers, crews, and command sites being vastly targeted throughout
- Hezbollah has been greatly weakened and received a proper beating from the IDF

The list goes on.

Ironically, the one thing this retarded caveman regime has always neglected and spat on is still operational and had a bigger impact than any missile or naval vessel used thus far and that's our airforce.

I don't think this is normal. Yeah, I agree with @Immortals that Iran's tactic of shutting down the Strait of Hormuz has failed miserably, as I predicted after Iran accepted the MoU and the US attacked southern Iran a few months ago to weaken our control over the strait, but this is beyond just risk assessment.

He's right, though.

There is no shortage of crude oil in the markets right now, which is quite puzzling considering the threats previously issued by the IRI.

By now, it has become clear to me that the economic conditions within Iran are so dire that the leadership in Tehran is hesitant to impose a full blockade, fearing for the safety and future of its own survival. The domestic and economic situation is so terrible that the consequences of completely sealing off Hormuz are deemed too risky for Tehran in the middle and longterm outlook.

When you reflect on this with unflinching honesty and analytical thought, the picture that emerges in your mind is quite alarming if not outright frightening. 40 years went down the drain for what?! An entire generations period of productivity. Gone. So, I understand people's anger.

But it is also clear to me that the fate that befell Iran could also become Turkey's, Pakistan’s, Saudi Arabia's, or Egypt's future in the next ~25 years.

As I mentioned before, just two or three significant blunders in foreign policy making can lead a nation to lose everything. This is why I have always refrained from passing judgment on entire nations; you can never truly know what might happen.
