The beauty of an IIR BVR is there is "no pitbull" mode that the target aircraft can pickup and try to evade/jam !

You got it right , that's the fear. This Bedir alliance will only work if Türkiye also agrees to buy some systems that were wholly designed and developed in the other countries that Türkiye is expected to also purchase. It cannot become a "closed system" for the member countries to "just buy" from Türkiye only. It has to be a full 2 way street. That would require a mind-reset in Türkiye. Equality has to be at its core.
For example, will Türkiye buy the FAAZ and incorporate it into the Kaan, and also its stealth drones and become an end user of FAAZ manufactured in Pakistan where it does not own the IP ?????? If not, then the agreement will grate with the members and fall apart quickly....
i may be wrong but oscar said that it was central pylon on mirage which it was active . am talking about sd 10 . i dnt know about faaz .If I remember correctly SD-10 was tested in Somyani test range from JF-17.
FAAZ was tested with Mirage (may be just air worthiness testing not launching from Ariel platform
Yes even the dimensions are sameDo you see any similarity between IIR guided FA'AZ and active radar guided SD-10? I didn't see any similarities between two![]()
Tejaaz bin Faaz or Faaz walad TejaazFaaz-ud-din bin Jahaz-ud-din
WHAT'S UNIQUE IN FA'AZ MISSILE?
not at all, Diameter is different (FA'AZ is thinner), aerodynamics and aerodynamic surfaces are different, rocket motor is different, and most important guidance is different, all in all its a totally different BVR from SD-10Yes even the dimensions are same
Anyone followed this news ?
I guess Link 17 is ground basedThe PL-15 was guided by a ground asset? Erieye could only provide the location?
Anyone followed this news ?
but navigating?I guess Link 17 is ground based
but navigating?
My hunch is J-10C was backed (it was silent anyway). We don't have operational Chinese AWACS, so a ground-based system was used, which normally has high available power to do that.
