Since the start back in 2014 the PLC have had Saudi backing along with Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates who provided air and ground forces, while Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and U.S. private military contractor Constellis headed several ground operations. UAE also hired mercenaries. They also enjoyed support from USA, UK and France.
While The Houthis which were often referred to flip flop wearing rag tag army with no air force, had support from Iran.
Both sides also faced IS and Al Qaeda.
So for the Houthis still to be going and attacking targets deep into Saudi territory and even into Israel is something that shouldn't be ignored. They had also defacto stopped shipping in the red sea. I would say not bad for a so called rag tag flip flop wearing army with no air force facing superior forces, technology and huge support in various forms from various nations. I take my hat off to them. And I ain't a supporter of Houthis or anyone in the middle east. I would also take my hat off to the Iranians for similar reasons I think even USA and Israel were both surprised that Iran hadn't folded yet and has kept the pressure on and kept decent capabilities. I would also point out that the Houthis although the Houthis hold less land mass than the PLC they however hold more population dense areas and more important cities and towns then the PLC, the PLC mostly hold large areas of desert with only a few key cities still under their control looking at territory map clearly shows this. If I am honest I don't think the Houthis are anywhere near collapse. As said time will tell you made the quote Houthis will collapse soon. So by that I presume you mean days, weeks, or a few months. Let's wait and see. If the Houthis still fighting this time next year I will be reminding you of your ill fate comments.
