No, a handful of nukes wont magically disappear a nation. It would destroy a few cities but not disable another nuclear power's ability to respond decisively, especially with the stockpiles Israel has.

Again, your last paragraph refutes the rest of your comment, since the US would intervene in a nuclear exchange between Israel and Iran, so Iran's stockpile would have to account for this.

You don't need to waste time convincing me of the benefits of nuclear weapons so I wont respond to that. But we literally just spoke about the downsides of alienation and economic isolation if Iran were to reveal its hypothetical nuclear weapons. So there is definitely a case to keep it a secret. Also I'm not doubting nations know what nuclear weapons are, but catching your adversaries unaware in a nuclear strike will have more benefits than them knowing what to expect. That's just basic warfare.

I already tried to explain you basics. If one do not have basic understanding of 'nuclear deterrence' or geopolitics then its really not neccessary to be reactive and respond to everything. let's tell you the basics. Whenever I talk about nuclear weapons, I am talking about it as deterrence. You really got to be kid to assume that the debate is having to actually nuke your opponents. Having nukes means, that at verge of destruction, whether conventionally or nuclear you will use your nukes to end your opponent. So, Your opponent won't destroy you critically at first place. This serves as a security and a deterrence. Israel thinks that Iran is not a nuclear power as of now but working towards it and that's why it lobby's sanctions again you and also it keep assassinating your top scientists. Declaring nuclear capability, creating deterrence and thus ending this serious hostile activity makes all sense. Somehow you think its good to live under sanctions and yet not creating a nuclear capability. I mean Iran is having the worst of both worlds, its not even a nuclear power but still have all the sanctions imaginable. Also note, those sanctions are in place to "reduce" Iran's capability to build a weapon. That means POST-nuclear status the chances of sanctions getting lower has more chances. It was really hilarious & pathetic way to describe that Iran wants to have "surprise" for its enemies in case of war LOL! you mean to detonate a nuke on Israel ?? LOL! You don't realize the consequences?? Why not to be a smart and avoid such devastation of your country at first place by declaring yourself as nuclear power. That will only prevent war (or atleast devastating one). Also another hilarious explanation was that Iran may only produce few warheads and Israel will not fully destroyed and will respond LOL!!...... Just breathe, take a step back, listen to yourself. Why on earth you jump on a conclusion of dropping nukes on israel. By declaring yourself as nuclear power you will only ensure survival of Iran. You don't have to nuke anyone. The fact that Israel will know 100% that you have nukes (after your declare & test) that's enough of a deterrance. And ofcourse its deterrence, a threat to even few major cities / population centers is immense & alarming. I believe the most the US will do is try and shoot down any missiles that are launched, they will not counter-attack unless they are targeted. We saw how Biden reacted when 3 US soldiers died, they don't want to be drawn into a conflict.

Regarding the rest of your diatribe, building strawman arguments on the need for nuclear weapons is a waste of time. At no point did me or anyone say Iran shouldnt have nukes. Seems you're bored and need to argue. Iran should have a nuclear detterance but should keep it secret until it has a big enough stockpile for it to be a threat to not just Israel, but US and the nuclear west.
