Fair point, but at this point Israel has decided it already wants to expand into Lebanon to deal a decisive blow to Hezbollah. So, what happens next is anyone's guess.

Really doubt that US can support Israel the way it could some 10 - 20 years ago. US main problem & focus is China. US jumping into a war for Israel is highly unlikely in this time and age. Israel alone can't do shit.
