It's having their strategic military and infrastructure subjected to precise attacks that deters them from carrying out future attacks. I don't think people understand scope of what happened. 700 rocket and drone alerts in span of 20 minutes all over Israel. Drones and missiles were targeting sites all over Israel with precision for 20 minutes straight in a rapid fashion. Israeli's sure intercepted some but the attack is still significant. Two more waves of missile strikes are gonna degrade their defenses badly. They're defenses are more designed to handle saturation attacks from crude rockets not drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. In large waves that is.
