Iran launches Operation True Promise - massive missile/drone strikes across Israel, Israel allegedly responds with quadcopters

The Israelis claim 200 interceptions, so if these numbers are accurate, 1/3rd got through.

Still fog of war and both sides will push propaganda very heavily. The truth will slowly leak out in coming days and weeks. And satellite imaging will show at least some of the damage.

I think Israel will have an strong incentive to strike tomm night after UN Security Council meeting.

It can’t keep its airspace closed forever. That causes a ton of economic damages.

As long as both sides haven’t stood down. Airplanes won’t use their airspace.
Just cancelling and diverting all those flight overnight will have cost them millions.

Thank you Iran.
May Allah Help and protect you, and grant Hidayat to Arab / Muslims who needs it

This is a chance for all to correct their mistakes and stand with Iran against Israel. This is a golden chance provided by Allah to join forces against all genocidal forces and their supporters / sympathizers.

Any damage assetments "before" and "after"?

What's the situation at Isreali airbaes that were hit?

There is something very satisfying watching Iranian missiles striking the heart of Isreali arrogance.. its Air force bases..

This is a very clear proof of the effectiveness of so called missile shield. Against the very fast incoming BMs this so called shield is useless. Iran is no nuclear power, imagine a scenario were these missiles were loaded with nuclear warhead! There is no escaping, no protection, no hiding place. That myth is busted in some spectacular manner.

Well done Iran.

Here is the deal...

The VKS failed over Ukraine. Now, Iran airpower simply have no presence over Israel. Regardless of what early successes of missile defense being fraudulent or true, Ukraine and Israel proved one timeless fact: That the airplane is still king. ⚡

Sorry, gents, but Iranian missiles are at best an annoyance to Israel.

US and others mobilized many resources to intercept Iranian missiles and drones. Then Israel had a multi-layered missile defense system. Even with that, my phone was blaring non stop with dozens of not hundreds of strikes in the first wave of strikes on the Negev and south Israel region. Israeli's were estimating and claiming everything would be intercepted outside Israel. Instead everything was slamming and pounding Israel for 20 minutes straight.

That's why they're bringing the US and others to determine a response. They can't last a day on their own.

Not in the beginning when Iranian air defenses are at full power. Unless they plan to fly really low to Iraqi Kurdistan pop up and drop a bunch of CMs and fly back. A strike over Iran would be too risky.

I think we will see CMs/drones/and BMs launched within 48-72 hours.

The airspaces are closed and it’s easier to do it now then everything opens up again and you have to close it down again.
which drones do they have with >1200km range?

Israeli ballistic missiles would certainly be a sight to behold. War of the Cities part 2

While I do agree that airplane is still king, the Iranians clearly held back.

They have enough fire power to overwhelm Israeli defenses and decimate Israeli bases and positions.

While we don't know the exact number, I'm willing to bet that Israel's interceptors are severely depleted.

They launched a couple hundred drones and older model, CMs and BMs, a drop in the bucket when it comes to their total arsenal which is said to be the largest missile force in the world.

Let's not down play the significance here. This was clearly a warning.

The Iranian attack was huge and successful. Their target was the airbase that struck the embassy. It required 300+ projectiles because Israel has the most protected airspace in the world:
  • It's own air defense layers
  • It's own airforce which participated to hunt missiles & drones manually
  • US airforce
  • Jordanian airforce
  • UK Royal Aircorce
  • Jordanian air defenses
  • American air defenses
  • American radars in the entire region
  • American navy

Israel can't do anything about this 'unsuccessful' Iranian attack, lol. Seems they didn't get assurance for US intervention on their behalf. If Biden had a brain and a soul he'd consult with allies to stop the genocide in Gaza.

110 BMs for only <10 confirmed hits is less than a 10% success rate.

Either number is grossly inflated or more strikes got thru and were not recorded (both likely possible). Surpised to see the the CM # so low.

@jauk @Persian Gulf @Shawnee @tsunset

110 ballistic missiles seems way too high. That's less than 2:1 drone to MRBM ratio. Let's wait for IRGC statement
