How much any nation has .....be it Ballistic missiles or cruise missiles ...or air defense radars and Sam defense
Comes down resources and how self sufficient you are in manufacturing and storing these very costly weapons ..

People throw around ridiculous numbers we have thousands of missiles to defend our country but one looks at their finances manufacturing base technology base and they can't even maintain a decent tractor factory or mobile phone production ...

Some times it's better to underestimate what you have so if the shit hits the fan you actual stand a chance

For the record Iran threw three hundred rockets and drones at Israel from several different different directions the best they had ....bar seven hits the remaining 293 failed ..

Heavey tanks and artillery
Mobile special forces
Deep deep pockets X
Finally strong allies that will support you with everything in battle

Israel as highlighted has USA UK France Jordan Saudi get involved in operations

My question where is china and Russia and irans allies ...
 
Except for the one accident recently by India, has Pakistan and India ever fired missiles at each other? Both nations seem to adopt the stance of showing off with their missile inventories. Even during the last war and subsequent skirmishes, I could not find any record of missiles being used against each other

Different horses for different courses.

In case of Pakistan & India both are nuclear powers.
Yes both have different variant of BM & CM for both use cases. But in case 1 actually uses unless both military gives heads up before firing one conventional BM launch most likely will be took as first strike by other hence i do not think you will see BM until the late stages.
Thats why development of longer range rockete, drones, CM, , Sub version of Babar make more sense.

I am proud of our missile technology and our progress on MIRV development is extremely significant. I may sound pessimistic at times but it's more because I want to see us excel further.

My intention is never to belittle. Alhamdulilah we are in a far better position than most other countries but we should still strive for the very best without limiting ourselves.

And yes, I agree with the rest, unfortunately very little is out there in the public.

Iran ballistic missile hit their target

The drones were just to overwhelm Israel missile defence and waste the Air defence missiles which they did, it took multiple nations to protect Israel

Another wave of drone and missiles and Israels air defence would be literally exhausted allowing for BM, HM and cruise attacks.
 
Fateh series mrls is far better and cheaper in this role upto 1000km
Plus we do have an airforce that Iran doesn't

But we shud develop some longer range conventional missiles on cheap for saturation if nothing else
 
If Pakistan does not have atleast 1500 BMs, the games over before it even started! They'll run out like candies in a real war...we can't just rely on Airforce, given its primary role it to defend and maybe carry out few special missions here and there. The bulk of assault should come via BMs, and I hope we have sufficient number in stock!

I don't know how anyone can claim to know the details of what they leaked or didn't. These are all rumors to me. Who knows?
 
Good discussions, and I hope contrarians like me @RationalPakistani are wrong and that Pakistan’s missile technology is sufficient to defeat BDMs. As someone has said, Pakistan’s missile program is highly secretive despite high profile leaks to other foreign agencies by senior officials. We can only make assumptions based on open source information.

But to claim either @RationalPakistani or I are simply undercover Indians looking to belittle Pakistan or bait Pakistanis is both hilarious and unfortunate. Have been on PDF & other forums for many many years and members who know, know who I am. This is just a silly claim and I hope people learn to take criticism without going full on paranoid mode.

We have moved from 300mm rockets (Fatah-1) to 400mm diameter rockets (F-2).
And larger diameter Rockets/Missiles are also on the way(F-4)_ granted they are not just stage additions
I think there is certainly (& finally) focus put on Solid Rocket Engines.

Smaller diameter have always been there even before, Hatf-1, Abdali etc . What we need to progress on (maybe):

- larger than 1.4m rocket motors
- composite casing
- gimbaling (no more fins)
- improvement in solid fuel motor itself (grain geometry, etc)

I agree with 45 nukes being enough to wipe out every major Indian city. If you are looking for total annihilation of India you would be looking at 70 nukes, I guess.
