HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Don't understand why so much Teja hype. Its still in testing stage, composed of all imported parts. Non AG or AA weapon testing has done yet.
it is somewhat overhyped but 'composed of all imported parts' is an overkill of a sentence the radar would be replaced too after that only crucial element imported would be just the engine

What do you mean by non A2A A2G testing done ??
It has more recorded proofs of firing A2A missiles compare to Jf17.

Leave them to say what they will.

Whatever a balanced account says is not good enough for the home-grown bhakt, it is too milk-and-bread; for the fierce chair-borne warrior across the Radcliffe, or in deep cover elsewhere, it is enriched beyond endurance and has far too much mirch-masala.

You can't win.

War is never solely about one fighter jet battling another, it involves an integrated approach including AWACS, drones, surface-to-air missiles, and several other systems working in conjunction. The US has built an entire ecosystem around the F-16, just as India has developed a comprehensive system around the Su-30MKI.
Well, there you are.

Why are we getting such inane posts, although some of us seem to understand the issues so very clearly?

You should comment on some of the other posts and straighten people out.

I was making a one-on-one comparison, Tejas MK1A is definitely a more modern, advanced, and capable design compared to the F-16 or Mirages.

The dick-measuring contest on this thread is in full operational mode. 🤼‍♂️
This is not about dick measuring contest. But by default, accepting F-16 as battlestar galactica, and Tejas Mk1A/Mk2 are like ants. But if someone try to say otherwise with evidence, then it’s a ridicule. While other party, unable to produce anything.

One should do psychological analysis of this inferiority complex.

Firstly Tejas Mk1A was so inferior that it soundnt be compared, but when someone showed otherwise, then it’s not even about one vs one, and if someone do comparison of other force multiplier, then it’s out of context. Switching arguments greater than speed of causality.

Same software was wonderfully explained by HVT for Tejas SPORT.

The Tejas MK1A is the answer to the declining squadron strength of the IAF, much like the MiG-21 was in the past. The IAF operated over 800 MiG-21 fighter jets. Just as the MiG-21 served as the workhorse and backbone of the IAF, the Tejas is expected to fill this role and continue to serve for the next 60 years in various blocks, similar to how the F-16 has served the USAF for the past 50 years. any Pakistani fighter jet approaching India will likely encounter the Tejas first, as it is being deployed at the Pakistan border in the same hardened shelters that previously housed the MiG-21.
