And still the golden standard for any fourth generation fighter to me measured against! And as it seems also the aim for India with the Tejas Mk.2 to at least make a closely comparable fighter.

As a system Mk1A going to be superior than Block 52, but not against Block 70/72.
But that doesnt mean it cant fight against Block 70, and even win battles against it, but it still an inferior platform.

Even the EW suite is inferior in some aspect, as it is only integrated with passive modes of radar, not active like is Viper Shield.

F-16 is to the US what Tejas is to India. The USAF operates the F-16 in large numbers, and similarly, the IAF will operate the Tejas extensively and for a long time. Just as US has introduced various blocks of the F-16 and plans to continue doing so for the next 40-50 years, India will also continue to introduce new blocks of the Tejas.

Right now Tejas Mk1/MK1A use Vx Works RTOS

The software is developed with Vx Works Real time operating system (RTOS) and Ada programming language which are well suited for real time application. Vx Works RTOS features high performance, determinism, reliability, low latency, consistency and scalability. Ada language features strong typing, modular programming, run time checks, exception handling, portability, good readability, generics etc.

You have no idea what the RCS of the block-70 is with its current updates and you probably don’t want to take the earlier F-16s as ballpark.

Block-70 with its current kit will pick out Tejas MK1A earlier , get to a higher energy state for its BVR launch much earlier and be able to deploy more effective countermeasures earlier.

Why?
SABR only advantage is, that its a UWB radar, while Uttam going to be WB, but thats only useful in frequnecy hopping. Furthur, Uttam going to work better in heavy EW environment, because of dedicated SLC/SLB antennas.

But even comparing peak power, as it is mentioned here, SABR is of 10 kW.

While for Uttam please refer to post #365, the peak power going to be 9.1 kw with thermal load of 3.6 kw.

What is special about SABR, that it is generating ridicule while comparing with Uttam/Tejas Mk1A?

Comparing an existing system with under development one is always ridiculous..
Comparing A lightweight fighter with medium weight fighter is equally ridiculous.
