I'm all for free speech - but why does our state allow explicit pro-terrorist propaganda via universities/journalists/activists??

they suppressed pro Pakistan voices such as Imran Riaz , Wajahat, Sabir Shakir and several other journalists and nobody is left now to spread their message or give their POV.
Truth be told I don't want to derail this discussion but I am on the fence here. I have been a huge critic of establishment for years and people used to accuse me of being hidden Indian.

But I somewhat support the establishment in recent events because I do think Imran Khan simply wouldn't take any advice and was damaging very critical areas like security and diplomacy with some gulf states, he also wouldn't acknowledge the huge threat from Afghanistan. He was good in other domestic areas and some economic decisions.

At the same time I don't support the heavy hand used to suppress the people because it backfires and makes people resent everything and feel neglected. But I still think that BLA/TTP are entirely different issues dating back decades with more complex origins.

Because she's worded what she's said carefully and in an attempt to provoke thought.

As much as I dislike her we ought to play the ball, not the man. She said they are BOTH terrorists and a resistance movement. If you ask the BLA of thier motives they'll claim resistance against the Pakistani state.

She's not legitimising thier terrorism by saying that.

Instead what we should ask ourselves is what is driving individuals to the BLA, why they are claiming resistance and what is giving thier "cause" legitimacy. Our public discourse should be looking to distangle the genuine gripe of the Baloch people and the terrorist organisations.

Usually in order to stop armed rebels you have to adress their grievances in one way or other. More representation, more roads, schools, goodies aka. economic investment/development.

Hard power alone seldom succeds. Which Americans learned the hard way in Afghanistan.

Or just use the Iranian method or Turkish method... America is a bad comparison because it wasn't their sovereign territory, which limits solutions significantly.

cant really compare a rebellion inside your own country to america's experiences as an expeditionary force

America annihiliated the confederacy

or if you want an example closer to home

india crushed the kashmiris

Pakistanis are spiritually way more liberal than Indians if you look at their views. Really naive and pacifist approach.

BLA is not even a movement that really cares about the lack of development to begin with - it literally blows up infrastructure as protest (something which Kashmiris don't even do)

To put it bluntly, it wants nothing less than a separate nation for itself. Hence why they massacre Punjabis and Pashtuns in their local areas.

You have to put down the active insurgency first.

But once things are a little calmer I think "development" works. Enough people need to feel their personal wealth and well being are tied to the state's success.

People will always sell their brothers/their cause out for money.

Hard to explain. While culturally due to religion and other factors Pakistanis are quite conservative, their politics with religious influence removed tends to be very leftist/liberal. It's only the religious influence that pushes them as right.

Indians are more politically right-wing/nationalist despite the lack of that cultural force that boosts it.

You don't see Indians larp as hard on identity politics and crying about oppression/racism like the average white shitlib.

^ these three gentlemen were the biggest supporters of your establishment till IK was in power !

Imagine a university professor teaching this in a country like Pakistan that had daily suicide blasts less than a decade ago and still does occasionally.

WHY IS THERE NO LAW AGAINST IT?

She wanted Pak gov uses more peacefull approach to reach solution. Just take lesson of Indonesia, Aceh separatist movement was also regarded as terrorist before, they even bombed Indonesia stock Exchange (Jakarta Stock Exchage is the previous name) in early 2000 (something that BLA hasnt done in Pakistan yet) but now they rule Aceh provinces from the political party they made

Learn Irlandia history as well so you will not have such narrow minded mind.

BLA has done that

Look at individuals like Nida Kirmani (and other social media activists/journalists/"human rights" orgs) her open praise for terrorist groups, justification for the slaughter of innocents - she has access to universities and coming generations to corrupt their minds to hate themselves and their own country.

I am all for free speech, but this type of obviously harmful activity should not be tolerated. Watching on as you are destabilised due to some principle trying to prove a point is just cringe manic behaviour.

I literally saw a teacher in Islamabad calling TTP as oppressed and saying she taught this to her students. One of her argument was that TTP operations were to rob local people's homes LOL

Solution:

- Pass laws criminalising spreading propaganda in favour of outlawed terrorist groups.

- Ban international 'human rights' bodies from operating who are politically motivated.

- Strict surveillance on these wannabe Journalists/activists

Kirmani madam has a habit of this. There are several such people who have form for rattling the cage as it were.

Sadly what we see now is an environment created by the vacuum of consciousness- policy makers and power brokers have only themselves to blame for us converging at the same apex.

Things are far, far more nuanced than “peaceful approach”. Where was Kirmani and Co in 2008?
The truth is all these elite oppression Olympic warriors literally cower inside their homes and scream Pak fauj zindabad the moment they realise terrorism is a real issue and the blasts enter their locality.

I remember how these liberals became the most vicious racists against Pashtuns at one point during war on terror

These generals need to grow a goddamn spine and be independent for once, by standing for their own country's interests. No one else is going to do that for you.

This slave mentality must end. Look at Turkey, China, even India. You have to stand for yourself, no one else will.
to grow a spine first there need to be blood transfusion all the haram flowing inside these arrogant pigs in uniform need to be taken out and some halal needs to injected into their veins then only these generails sabhs will be free!

ohh and the blood frok wardi boys need to be burned no human no animal can match the level of haram khori these generail sabhs have and will instantly die not even khanzeer can take their blood!
