This is not true at all. You have this exaggerated assumption what OSINT is. There are hundreds if not thousands of military assets in Iran and some are clandestine to even those within the IRGC (ie “black sites”). So unless someone has a “tip” that a specific area was hit, they aren’t going to go waste money ordering satellite photos nor will some nerd in his mother’s basement know the location of every Iranian military facility. It’s naive to think OSINT would and it isn’t close to their capabilities.
It took us days/weeks to get [clear] photos of a site everyone was already told was struck. You think OSINT would find a BM impact if it wasn’t near a populated area or if Israel didn’t say we struck this facility in this general area? They wouldn’t.
And your second point about news, it would only leak something if someone within upper levels of US or Israel wanted to provide information off the record so journalist/think tanks can go look further. And they usually do that in cases they want to rub salt in an opponents wound or now a days it’s more likely to spread propaganda to shape public opinion (ie. Our amazing air defense systems shot down 99.9%! Order one today!)
In case of Israel has a notorious military censor and usually doesn’t brag about extremely sensitive military operations until long past the period of relevancy.
Story time: Sometimes when I was younger I would travel inside Iran. And sometimes we would past a random desolate area and there would be a sign(s) that would say no photos allowed. Puzzling since the area had nothing particular in it but wide open mountainous terrain. That is because there was likely a military facility or ammo storage nearby. Why they decided to basically tell people by placing these signs is beyond me.

Hard day in Lebanon, at least 4 confirmed Hezbollah martyrs in the last 24 hours, number likely to rise in the coming hours
UPDATE: The number has risen to 5 Hezbollah martyrs and 3 Palestinian Islamic Jihad Martys in Lebanon. At least 2 IDF soldiers killed in that same period, many more injured.

attacks are still using low end drones/cruise missiles fired in 1s or 2s and most are likely falling well short of reaching Israel
I am surprised iran doesn't send more advisors and better weapons to launch from Iraq

At least 5 IDF terrorists liquidated by Palestinian Resistance in Gaza today
Hamas with no air force no navy no army etc is still able to inflict consistent casualties on the invading IDF terrorists (with F-35 jets and 2000lb bombs) despite everything in Gaza being razed to the ground and everyone being subject to starvation and genocide for 7+ months
Khan Younis and Rafah remain strong areas of resistance.
After 7 months of total genocide that we haven't seen since WW2 (on a defenceless tiny occupied entity, so we have to go back to medieval times for a better comparison of the genocide), the Zio-Nazis still haven't been able to find Sinwar, Abu Obeida, Deif or eliminate Hamas resistance even in north Gaza...

Four Israeli terrorists were killed during fighting against Hamas in Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood this morning, the military announces. The terrorists are named as:
Sgt. Itay Livny, 19, of the Nahal Brigade's 931st Battalion, from Ramat Hasharon.
Sgt. Yosef Dassa, 19, of the Nahal Brigade's 931st Battalion, from Kiryat Bialik.
Sgt. Ermiyas Mekuriyaw, 19, of the Nahal Brigade's 931st Battalion, from Beersheba.
Sgt. Daniel Levy, 19, of the Nahal Brigade's 931st Battalion, from Kiryat Motzkin
Another officer and soldier of the 931st Battalion were seriously wounded in the same incident.
Separately, another two terrorists of the 401st Armored Brigade's 9th Battalion were seriously wounded by RPG fire on a tank in the Rafah area of southern Gaza.

They are sending 19 year old sergeants to die in Gaza... 4 killed and 4 "seriously wounded".
Rockets from Hamas against Beer Sheba for first time since December 2023... 4/5 rockets from initial wave get through. 9 fired in total. Hezbollah bombs Kiryat Shimona while Hamas blows up IDF terrorists in Rafah and bombs settler terrorists in Beer Sheva (also getting hit by their own Iron Dome missiles).
