Iranian President Raisi and Foreign Minister Abdollahian die in helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan

Pakistani President Zia Ul Haq's Plane crashed with Top Brass and American Ambassador on Board in the eighties. It was thought that a carton of mangoes was loaded on the aircraft that released a poisonous gas.

His son claimed it was 100% a sabotage. After the crash they took everything and got rid of all the evidence.

Breaking News:

IRIN (Iran state news channel) reports a IRGC aircraft found the helicopter crash site after the fog mostly dissappeared.

the helicopter seems burned down and no sign of survivors.

Well let this be a lesson. No amount of "indigenous upgrades" can keep a clunker from 60 years ago flying safely. This goes for your entire air force and armored inventory as well. Time to join the rest of the world.

The rest of the world's airplanes and helicopters still crash. So what is your point?

Any authentic source. Akinci is now searching a different area.

If you scale that heavily trafficked area, you'll find out that it is HUUUUGGGEAH! It looks like a bunch of funny thread or spaghetti but that total area is deceivingly large.

This here from @GoatsMilk post looks to be the crash itself. What else could that be? Other than a missile which we know it isn't. Not good.

They are saying in Persian in the video that the " all bodies are cold" = all dead , the thermal cameras of the drones confirm.

After all the tension between US, Israel and Iran who would've thought Raisi and Abdollahian would depart this world in an accidental helicopter crash.
We're used to Iranian officials being martyred in assassinations and targeted strikes that one might sometimes forget that death comes sudden and unexpected for all.

Rest in peace to both gentlemen, they certainly carved their names in history and will not be easily forgotten.

No foo.....Iran da size of da EU wid only 80 milion vs 425 million for da EU no?

EU isn’t a country.

The proper comparison would be to population of Germany or UK or France. Not an entire Economic Union of member states.

This is sad news. Raisi had only recently visited Pak.

Aside from Turkey, EU had also provided satellite support.

There have also been offers of aid from other nations including Saudi Arabia and Russia. At Iran’s request, the EU is using its satellite system Copernicus to map the area where the helicopter reportedly crashed, Janez Lenarčič, EU commissioner for crisis management
