Yes, you have the reason here, this attack was retarded. Once time Hezbollah had a lot of deterrence and gained respect among any military brach, but in this Gaza war, Hezbollah has been very soft and restained to a point they have not done that balance.
For sure they have done sacrifizes, no ne doubts about that, but i suspect there are some people in the ranks, maybe pro russians, that are commanding wanton operation with zero relevance. Their strategy is not good, and lacks from a real goal or aim.
The one score they have got is they have free the north of Israel and have exposed Israel weakness in the face of their people, but Israel is aware this is a temporary laugh, when Gaza is done, by disgrace, Hezbollah will stop operations and north will be rebuilt in a couple of months, because destruction is not comparable at all with what Israel has done in Gaza.
Hezbollah wanted to be a decisive party, but they cannot do that, for some reasons. Hezbollah will have to think about this lack of performance and be ready for next showdown, because it will happen.
I hate to say this to the core, but Israel has won in this war on Gaza, they got the goal to destroy Gaza and kill many gazans, i don t beleive there is only 37000 dead among gazans, the numbers are higher, but not party wants to recognize that, as with Syrian and iraki wars.
