J10 is bigger than Tejas, so not really made for the same missions.
Tejas = mainly a point defense jet. A cheap solution to fill a local air defense gap after Mig21.
J10 has more range and load.

This is the most serious problem, proving that India does not have a complete system for developing engines and relies on foreign engines. It is easy for others to judge the production trend and development cycle of your fighter jet. Decades ago, we repeatedly experienced engine research failing to meet the design requirements of fighter jets, ultimately leading to performance indicators gradually falling behind and ultimately abandoning the entire fighter jet project. As long as the Tejas project relies on foreign engines, there is enough intelligence to understand, which gives Pakistan more buffer time for purchasing the j10c and producing the jf17 block3. by the way with the origin country of this thing called Teja. i heard that the original design is not even indian. piece meal it by various indian organizations to make it a fighter, like borrow engine from usa, FCS from USA, avionics from israle and europe, matrial design form france. etc etc. this so called LCA needs to fire a single BVR missile and deliver Stand off weaposn first.

why are wasting time and bandwidth talking about teja? it needs to prove it self first and show us worthy of our time.

The relationship between China's military sales and Pakistan is not like that between the United States and India. The military relationship between the United States and you is more based on restraining China. Unless you do more things that are in the interest of the United States, what they give you is like cutting sausages and dragging on, such as the F404, which is given 20 units per year under the pretext of production restrictions, including spare engines. It can be imagined that the annual production speed of mk1a. Pakistan does not have as much money as you do, and most of their main equipment is determined by your equipment situation. So far, The number of equipment for both j10 and jf17 block3 is not high. This will earn time for continuous improvement and cost savings in the future.

But according to the paper data of mk1a, due to the advancement of electronic systems, it is at least one type of 4 Fighter planes, if equipped on a large scale in a short period of time, will indeed have an impact. Whatever delays or issues you foresee with Indian reliance on American engine, Pakistan will have similar issues (if not same) with importing entire planes from other countries. Add to that the financial issues Pakistan is facing, and LCA ip rights are entirely ours, I would say India is more comfortably placed vis a vis j10 and jf17 (not talking about capabilities, just forthcoming production and induction plans).

It is funny to see analyst & posters alike have kind of a fetish using a term against pakistani weapons procurement ---"cash strapped"---.

Airframe designed by Dassault (the indians call it "consultancy"), FCS designed by LockMart based on the F-16XL version, radar is isareli, engine is GE. The only thing indian about it is the monkeys bolting it together and IT call centre tech support.

No fly by wire was not tested on F16XL and as for your information F16XL was designed in late 70s and tested early 80s when no LCA project had been launched, fly by wire system for LCA tested by L&M in mid 90s on their F16VISTA not on F16XL version
