Pakistan UAVs News & Discussions

Unrelated but funny thing that I noticed. ACM Sahb seems to be photoshopped in lol:

Someone caught onto the fact that this CAS literally sits in the same way with the same expression in every photo he's ever taken. Sounds like the PAF PR guy decided to, as they say in Pak military officer speak, "take things to their logical conclusion."

No falco shown in any of the pictures, despite the fact that it was Pakistan's first real advanced drone which Pakistan still manufactures to this day (under license of course).

I personally feel it deserves center stage.

Good to see Shahpar 2 getting some coverage.

Shahpar 3 was going to fly at the end of 2023.
Anyone know about Shahpar 3 flight?

As proven in Russia Ukraine conflict, modern war is about attrition jist like it was in ww2.
Ukraine is struggling to upkeep their Leopard 2 tanks. So its better to keep things aimple but have them in large quantity
Hopefully PAF is doing the same with small drones like burraq, loitering munitions and have them in large quantity.

You can see at least one Falco right at the back if you zoom in:

As far as I know, it is very early in the development phase and GIDS essentially jumped the gun on advertising it.

What makes you think that? At the very least, a large number of TB2s are being inducted - enough to warrant the setup of a local assembly line by Baykar. What number the contract is for, I don't know. But it can't be less than 40.
Yep. There is very extensive network of relay setup too with TB2 to extend its range. And already several airbases have gotten TB2s too.

PAF is invested into Bayraktar and indigenous UAVs more now it seems. Don't think they will get Chinese ones at all.

Such disrespect for a drone that created the conditions for one of the most successful anti-terror military operations in the world.

Also, GIDS jumped the gun on a number of projects that shouldn't have been announced until there was something to show for it.

why we don't see PAF markings/roundels on our drones?

PAF showcased the domestically developed IREK Anti-Radiation Wing Guidance Kit, now operational on Baykar's AKINCI UAV. This anti-radiation seeker enhances the capability of aircraft engaged in SEAD/DEAD missions, allowing them to detect and engage intended targets at greater distances and higher speeds through optical means.

Bayraktar Kizilelma is going to enter serial production soon this year! Once the jet gets powered by local engine, fitted with Murad AESA and loaded with Turkish Air to Air Missiles, it will be ready for exports.

Just Like Akinci, Pakistan may also be its first export customer.

Glimpse from NASTP shows Akinci, KaGem V3 Loitering Munition, and Y-III Kamakaze Drone.
Baykar and NASTP are jointly collaborating for AI algorithms to be used for the identification of targets using EO/IR Cameras. The same technologies will be embedded in the above systems.
