Eastern doctrine depends on artillery (Or I should say Indirect fire). That's how they maneuver their troop with. You prep the area with fire and then walk your infantry in, then if they are still defensive capable, rinse and repeat. That's how Russia fight since Soviet time.
In the west, everything we developed is to counter this principle. We use precision strike to attack the center of mass, we use combine arms and maneuver warfare to achieve the balance between speed and firepower.
As I said, once the US loose control of their arm use in Russia, the entire "Kharkiv Cushion" is pretty much pointless. They would have to withdraw sooner or later otherwise this bulge would have extended their supply line for nothing.

To be honest here, Germany has its own economic problem. I have friends in Germany and the average person is more concerned about how they will pay the rent and cover the expenses of daily living.
No one in the West wants to remember where the Ukrainian tragedy began. It began with an unconstitutional coup - Putin▪After 2014, Russia made every effort to resolve the Ukrainian conflict peacefully.
▪For 8 years, Russia was "led around by the nose" with the Minsk agreements.
▪Russia could not turn a blind eye to the spilling of Russian blood in Donbass.
▪Russia had the right to recognise the independence of the DPR and LPR in accordance with the decisions of the UN court.
▪Russia did not attack Ukraine, but defended itself and had the right to help the Donbass republics.
▪Russia does not threaten anyone, especially not the leaders of other states.
▪Germany's supply of missiles to Kiev is finally destroying relations with Berlin. The appearance of German tanks on Ukrainian soil has caused a moral and ethical shock in Russia.

Russia's military losses are many times lower than those of the Ukrainian side - the ratio is 1 to 5, Putin stressed.According to the president, 1,348 Russian servicemen are currently in captivity, while 6,465 Ukrainian servicemen are in captivity.
Putin noted that the AFU was losing about 50,000 men a month. The heavy losses have prompted Kiev to launch a full-scale mobilisation, but this will not solve the problems. According to Moscow sources, Kiev is recruiting 30,000 people a month, mostly by force.

Unfortunately so. It's destined to happen and is prophecy. A massive war in which 999/1000 will perish. Only nuclear war can achieve such destruction

And yet the leadership is still throwing money at the clown of Kiev. Europeans have had enough of this fraud. We are all paying the price for breaking ties with the Russian juggernaut.

We all need to remember here that it was Russia who invaded Ukraine simply because it wants to be aligned with the West and free from Russian oppression and subjugation.

I was speaking to a very good friend who lives with his young family in Germany, both are native Germans and are in decent jobs, both of them Husband and wife worked in Pakistan on a development project and so they have a very wide world view.
He was telling me that most Germans rent rather than own property, the rent for his apartment is 2100 euros. The average monthly take home in Germany as per him is 2500 euros. Both husband and wife work, consider the dent this rental amount puts in their disposable income.
Now add to this the cost of travel, child care, food and other expenses... One of the major concerns is the rapid influx of Ukrainian refugees. He was telling me that at first they had about 1,000 or so refugees who were temporarily housed in a modified airbase and in hotels at the public expense. However fast forward to 2024 and Germany is host to more than 1 Million Ukrainians.
A significant proportion of the German people are angry because most of the refugees are unemployed and this receive unemployment benefit which again is at public expense, meanwhile the creeping deindustrialistion in Germany has meant that native Germans are more frequently having to rely on government handouts or facing the fear of layoffs and redundancies.
The German Christian party has taken a firm stance on this and stated that should the Ukranian's living in Germany which to seek permanent residency, that will have to come with a commitment to work and integrate into German society.
Meanwhile Germany's economy woes only worsen. I truly feel sorry for the people of Ukraine, they are caught between a rock and a hard place. No one wishes to leave their homes to go to strange shores at the mercy of strangers, but they have no other choice.
Another issue in Germany is the rise of undocumented economic migrants from the Middle East, Afghanistan, South Asia and particularly according to my friend African nationals.
Interestingly Afghans and Syrians in particular are in the firing line, Afghans are known for street crime in Germany and following the knife attack in Mannheim in which a police officer was murdered by an Afghan, the government has now decided to deport any Syrian and Afghan who has even minor criminal history.
These are the realities that are not looked at, this is the bleak future facing all of Europe.

Oh I agree, I am not a choirboy for Putin. But surely the breaks need to be applied at some point.
