It certainly is bad for India but I don't know what someone like you would qualify as "good" for Bangladesh. Name one neighbor of India that is screaming "bad India" as is doing well, financially. Bangladesh economy will suffer massively. But as it has been shown, for some, pissing match with India holds more water. So yeah, good for Bangladesh!

Any non vassal ruling establishment by default is better for them and could muster better deals with you, it is that simple, not to complicated to understand. Their geography gives them upper hand.

Just close the border with BD and take a chill. In 5 years, I see another failed neighbor of India. Ofcourse SriLanka made peace in bankruptcy and Nepal has calmed down...So who knows.

On a somewhat tangential but very relevant point, we will now get to observe the professionalism, or lack thereof, of the Bangladesh army. And compare it to times past when it played an active - and often bloody - role in internal politics.

Specifically their behaviour as they coordinate the transition of power. At this point they must be the best organised , most powerful entity in the land.

But also of interest will be their behaviour in termed of unity of command and whether junior officers are obeying orders.

Their refusal to support Hasina can be interpreted in many ways. I can only hope that the best possible interpretation is the one that is real.

The so-called Muslim Ummah is not going to help Bangladesh in difficult times. I agree there are disputes between India and Bangladesh, but Bangladesh will always look to India for help—whether it's economic assistance, military support, or political aid in case of civil unrest.

This is how Radical Hindus think even after supporting mass-murdering dictator in Bangladesh. While back home, they send hordes of rapists and thugs to terrorize Muslims, they want the rest of us worshiping them. Imagine mocking the Muslim concept of Ummah.
