Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

Economy and sustainability of the country huge population should be priority no1, best bidder for participation in that task should be given military and strategic tokens, every other policy will have uncertain longtime impact.

Economy will.struggle because new people in power means lots of New avenues for corruption

Secondly Both China and US will show Both Carrots and Sticks

IMF package is the Trump.card that US has

No.
Its possible flood of refugees if situation goes into a complete civil war.
It's called a Civil war, if there are two sides fighting it out. Are you seeing any such demarcation?

The flood of refugees we will have to wait and see, there are already attacks on minorities. Will they increase or subside .. only time can tell.

The Hindus will have it bad, and its to be expected.

Yes Mohamed Yunus or sone technocrat. Fakruddin was great as well in 2008. We need a siraj u dawlah , sohrawsrdy, fazlul haque , gobindo pal , shamsudfin ilyas shah. Unfortunately in Bangladesh history we get more mir Jafars like hasina, Khaleda zia, tareque zia etc
I could agree with Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy and Sher-e-Bangal Fazlul Haque.

Siraj was a thoroughly corrupt and pathological case; Ilyas Shah is too remote for us to imagine.

I hope you know the political affiliations of recent Bangladesh leaders with Suhrawardy and Fazlul Haque. There were links, and Bangladeshi leadership did not form in a vacuum. That is the political leadership. There were alternative power sources and that has been the fissure at the heart of Bangladesh, after she won independence.

Minimizing high level corruption and eradicating it on lower levels within cultural norms is necessary precondition for any meaningful long term growth and prosperity projection.

The current situation is no civil war. But the people involved can very well create a civil war. They are rather uneasy bedfellows. Jamatis, Generals and BNP. Now Hasina is gone, it is a political vacuum that all of them will try to exploit.

I pity India and Indians.
Yup.

From a distance, please.

Marvellous how from a remote distance, you know more about a situation than people who have been travelling in and out of a country for the past few years. Wasn't the television invented during the Mahabharata War?

This is how the average Hindu thinks. To them, our civil rights and political freedom are Islamism, intolerance, and extremism. Bangladesh, please stay clear of this disgusting civilization. The average Hindu will only be happy when you're getting mowed down by Machine guns.
Your civil rights and political freedom is in the hands of a military dictator who right now will be laughing his arse off ,you will be lucky to ever cast your vote again.

You guys just went from being a potential middle income country to a confirmed failed state.

Yes please stay away from our civilization, we will be eternally thankful.

A lesson for Pakistan, Congratulations to BDians... hopefully they will pick their new leaders who will represent their public and bring changes so something like that never happen.

As for us Pakistan, cowardice/Slavery runs deep in the people of Pakistan.

It is because of nonsensical views like this that there has been what never existed earlier, a counterpart nonsensical bigoted view about Pakistan, and yes, about Bangladesh.
A bigoted view has always existed. Don't lie to yourself. Gandhi used to label us converts because he couldn't bear to see us outside his bigoted conception of the world, where either you follow Sanatan or you're an outsider. Most of the Congress was like this too. And now we are blamed for modern Hindutva! Incredible! As of there isn't a direct trace between the stuff most modern Hindutve say and the writings of old Hindu political leaders from the 19th century!

Same thing in Egypt where students ousted Morsi. However that was a conspiracy hatched by external powers and the students were just pawns. I hope this isn’t the case here and I hope to Allah swt that we get an entire new leadership instead of Tareque Zia and BNP. We don’t need anymore dynastic politics.

I have no illusions that BNP led by Tareq Zia will be any better than Hasina and AL.

Its almost guaranteed BNP-Jamaat will be back in power. If the students continue to demand reforms, they will face harsh treatment from a BNP-Jamaat alliance too. Mark my words.

Hasina was bad, but things can be far more worse.

OTOH this a golden opportunity for BNP and Jamaat to prove that they have changed. That this time they have learned to be a great leadership.

Does BNP and Jamaat actually have a plan for BD economy and governance? Hopefully its more substantial than just «lets get revenge on Awami League and Hasina».

@Afif , @Raj-Hindustani @Joe Shearer @Nilgiri

Possible reasons for India to be nervous if the US is indeed provided a foothold against China in BD?

Encroachment?
Balance altering?
Frenemy surveillance?

US won't be provided a foothold. It needs to be understood that, it's a revolutionary government won by the people. They don't need to award superpowers anything because they weren't 'put' in power by them.

Get your facts right, and then post in public.

Never read greater crap in a long, long time. I was born here and went through 74 years here, and happen to know more than some random viewer of YouTube and reader of WhatsApp.
