PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

Why would I worry? I just want to know how Pakistanis on this forum think it will be done. But seems that even asking perfectly normal questions gets some Pakistanis riled up since they don't have any clear answers to what is genuinely going to be a crisis in terms of payments versus retirements.
Don't strain your little mind over it. This is merely the tip of the iceberg.

Yes and the Super 7 was originally just an upgraded J7/F7 with Grumann as the co-contractor. And the Sabre II was an earlier incarnation, before the PAF decided to go and buy the F16 in further batches.
The J9 team was brought into the FC-1/JF17 project including their design data (I believe the DSI inlets are from them). Thats never been disputed, even though the JF17 ended up quite different. The JF17 also is very different from what the Super 7 was going to be.

The J-9 was never seen with a DSI and again it was a totally different aircraft, that is not to be disputed … I really don#t know why you again try to to mix both

In 1964, the Ministry of Defense held a special meeting on the improvement and modification of the MiG-21 aircraft and determined two plans: 1. Changing a single engine to a twin engine, that is, the J8 project; 2. Single-engine deep improvement type, that is, J9 project. The design task was carried out by the Shenyang 601 Research Institute.

In 1970, Shenyang 601 Research Institute transferred 500 people to Chengdu Branch, Chengdu 611 Research Institute. All the personnel involved in the J9 project were transferred to Chengdu 611 Research Institute.

In 1978, due to the urgent need for the "J7-III" project undertaken by Chengdu 611 Research Institute at the same time, a large number of personnel from the J9 project team were transferred to the J7-III project team, and the development of the J9 project was contracted.

In 1980, the J9 project was terminated in accordance with the national program adjustment.

That's the timeline for the J9 project. The topic of J9, JF17, and Super 7 can be terminated.

Let's get back to the J31 discussion.

Asking genuine questions some 16,17 times (may be many more times which I don't know) looks like spamming.
However you are right in saying Pakistanis don't have clear answer.... But, I already gave you answer,... DEEP STATE with HIDDEN ECONOMY.

It took you days to think about how to ask this dumb question as I said don't worry about it.... its none of your concern in the end with all the nightmares you are having add this one to it because this deal is well on it's way !!!

We are taking delivery of SAAB Erieyes and MILGEM Frigates just this month and many clowns go on about no money. Literally no concept at all of reality anymore, but partly our fault for feeding trolls. I put the freak on mute ages ago

Neither does F-35, but Indian Dogs will bark at anything
Bharati folks are natural experts in spreading misinformation and disinformation. They can generate something out of nothing. You can resist them with your nukes, FGFs etc., but not many folks are that lucky....

JF17 is indeed associated with the "Super 7 Project".

On the Chinese social media "Douyin", there is a memoir about JF17, interviewing Chinese experts involved in the JF17 project, confirming this claim. I don't know how to send a link to this interview video on the PDF......

There are no documents or personnel to confirm that JF17 and J9 are related. The J9 project was abandoned a long time ago. If you have to tie them up, you can only say that their R&D team is related.
Hi,

3-3.5 gen aircraft have inherently different flight parameters than the 4th gen and 4th gen + aircraft---. They both do fly---.

Hi,

It is about different flight parameters---so the design is different from the core outwards.
Unfortunately what is not understood by many is that “Math is Math” - ipso facto Physics is Physics and while accusations of stealing IP and copying can fly left and right at the end the US took German WW2 designs and designers as did the Soviets, then each side stole and copied stuff off each other with the Russians stealing the RRNene for their engines to SR-71 built with Russian Titanium, to F-35 legally using concepts from YAK-131 and And so in the global competitive environment the Chinese copied what they needed. Unfortunately our opsec and counterintelligence failed when they copied it but it’s what all nations do regardless of their chest beating Indigenous BS they may spew at rival forums.

Because without knowing the math that works regardless of where its from - airflow or radar waves don’t discriminate where a wing or fuselage was made or flag on it - they care about surfaces and their shape.

However, spurious claims like the J-31 is better than the F-35 or otherwise hold little ground especially considering what requirements each was built to with one being asked to be three different airplanes for different services and the other a side project finally finding a stable.
The J-31s closest analogy is actually the F/A-18 and how it started as the YF-17 for the USAF and ended up as a naval fighter and then also the F-18L for pure land operations.

J-31 will be very close to F-35 if not better. China won't be inducted a Naval version of it if that wasn't the case. Secondly, there is no full clarity on how many prototypes of J-31 exist.
