Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

The muktijoddhas did their job, and don't need commentary from intransigent Pakistanis.
Look to your own country and worry about it. Once released from the deadweight, Bangladesh soared. Try to emulate their good qualities and their achievements. At the least, try. That is, if your speed limitations allow you to.

Mukti Hindi is in fear and crippling
Mukti Pakistani is alive and kicking.

as if the world has not enough problems. Hasina resigns too late. this worthless bloodshed can be avoided. the role of police and military is very questionable. once the army shoots dead own people then the army is finished.

Indonesia should prop up them with raw materials under fair and favorable conditions to sustain their economy growth. I can not see better country for that then yours one.
I would say our trade relation with BD will be stronger as we develop Sumatra Island more as BD and Sumatra island is pretty close

Political relationship will likely be more strenghten as BD under Hasina is more like a vassal state of India than an independent country with 170 million people strong.

We will likely see more confidence BD government when it comes to its relation with India and it will lift BD stance as well geopolitically

Yes these are rumors only.... I have already explained it makes no sense for USA to have military base in Bangladesh.... Bangladesh location does not offer anything geographically or strategically....
If they want to maintain presence near Myanmar then Andaman-Nicobar island is the most sensible option....

USA wont get millitary base in India or Sri Lanka. Chittagong sits right across Chinas trade route through Myanmar and the Kyaukphyu naval base.

Temporary yes, but for long term BD has better chance to eradicate its cronic corruption that may result in more sustainable economic growth

I think under new government BD will be stricker interm of its BD and India trade. There will be no pro India policy anymore I would say
Nothing will change.

The US had nothing to do with this.

This was an unforced error by Hasina. Shouldn’t have shot the students in the original protest.

Nothing will change.
You can say that to Hamas that chose Sinwar, but not BD with 180 degree change from Hasina into Nobel and respected Prof Yunus as their new leader.

I see BD political development as very significant for the progress of Muslim world over all.

It can bring more and more Muslim nations toward more democratic nature despite still lead by authoritarian regimes at the moment.

Okay, so this is basically what everything wrong with Indian stablishment left or right when it comes to BD politics. Deliberate fear mongering and misrepresentation.

Let's get some facts straight.

*Jamat has never been the dominant partner in the government. They were always the junior partner.

*He is claiming now Jamat and other Islamic parties will play the dominant role in the new government and is much more powerful than BNP. That such a massive bullshit. You just have to wait till the election and everyone will find out. BNP will get a sweeping victory.

I’m replying to your original comment in terms of BD and Indian trade.

Nothing will change.

Where is our Toupe Boy Momen?
Will miss this comedian and famous phrases like «India and Bangladesh is like husband and wife»

Raw materials? what kind of raw materials? For what? Its not really that Bangladesh is some kind of Japan or South Korea with massive manufacturing hub.

Their biggest raw material import is cotton which sadly Indonesia doesn't to produce. The biggest exporters are US, China and India out of which most cost effective is India.

For whatever little manufacturing they do in white appliances, its not as if they are limited by metal or something that Indonesia produces. Its mostly capital.

Another thing they need is energy (at least till their nuclear power plant comes online), which is again not something that Indonesia can supply. For that too at least for now, they depend upon India.

Okay, I had to come back for this to give my 2 cents

What happened in Bangladesh is 1000% US sponsored color revolution like what they did in Ukraine, Iran etc

Bookmark this, sooner or later I'll be proven right as always

Islamists are celebrating but they replaced an Indian autocratic puppet with American backed dysfunctional "democracy" which India doesn't approve of but won't interfere too much into American affairs either for the time being

Attacks on Hindu minority has RAW written allover it to the point where it's not even a conspiracy anymore

That is why your country never gets forward unfortunately. Cringe conspiracy theories and at best very primitive biary point of views that often doesn't fit complex reality. And we lots of this kind also. But thankfully most of our young people understood that we have to take your own responsibility and make our own ways instead of just keep blaming superpowers for our problems. As long as you don't learn to take responsibility for your own state and the collective nation, and keep blaming everything on big bad west and America, you won't gain any public agency.

Sadly, this on-line media channel is representative of a formerly very well-respected journalist of independent views, who, about a year ago, very possibly under pressure of some sort familiar to all observers of the Indian establishment's bullying of media, started toeing the line.

Not having read the article, my surmise is that he is/ they are dutifully toeing the 'party' line, both metaphorically and literally.

Regarding your own comment - the BNP winning a sweeping victory is not necessarily a good thing.

There had been hopes, belied and betrayed, that the BAL would display its political heritage and take a secular, democratic line. Those hopes, both ending in 1975, and in 2024, were betrayed, by those in whom so much trust and faith had been reposed.

The BNP, however, lacked in the past even a remote connection to any kind of democratic policy or programmes. There may have been a miracle, and doubters (like me) may get vastly surprised. I will be happy to be proved wrong, and to have the BNP give Bangladesh a liberal, secular and wholly accountable democratic administration. I am resigned to remaining unhappy.
