Nobody deny that financial is the important consideration; but if Israel had thought that Gaza will be threat to their security then Israel would thought twice to be abandon for Palestine/Hamas.

Also why only look at Gaza? how about West bank area A & B that Israel has surrender to Palestine according to Oslo Accord? doesn't it prove that Israel want peace with Palestine?

Area C was supposed to be gradually handed over to the PA. Instead, Israel used OSLO To further entrench illegal settlements in the West Bank thereby destroying the false illusion of them wanting two states. This only proves that resistance will be the only way forward because Israel was never a partner for peace. It used oslo to only steal more land, force weapons handover, and effectively carve up the West Bank like swish cheese. This is why Hamas is gaining support and PA is on its last legs.

I've got to say I'm pretty amazed at how smoothly Israel took over the northern part of Gaza and is now effortlessly dealing with other threats in the region.

Just saw that the IDF lost only around 200 soldiers since the war started (I think it's around 186) which is quite a feat even for Israel in this type of conflict. The number of injured soldiers is about 800+ which is surprisingly low considering how fast everything is happening.

Even in terms of heavy weaponry Israel hasn't lost much. Didn't anticipate Israel taking Gaza so effortlessly. They really do have one of the most powerful armies out there no doubt about it.
