Remember it is all about cost and all India is doing is making Maldives realize cost of making enemy out of India. It is not short term process as China will support them for few years but we will see for how long.

West also does not want China in Maldives so not sure why you keep relying on west support.

North Indian cities are dirty and ill planned because they have had huge population for millenia. There was no way the cities could be planned when people were already occupying it. Also, huge population pressure makes it difficult to have waste management system. However, with lakshadweep, population is low and even uninhabited in many places. Everything can be built up in a planned manner.

Is Ganga a static system? It has so much water that it can feed tens of crores of people continually over the years. Keeping such a huge system clean is not simple or easy. Despite it, there has been significant increase in cleanliness. It is impossible to clean such a system completely as waste keeps getting generated and too many people are dependent on it. Comparing it with tourist townships in Lakshadweep's uninhabited islands with at most 0.5-1 lakh population is not proportionate

Terrorism is not real now? There is always a threat of terrorism even in USA, UK, France etc. It is funny that you target India for it. Terrorism control is not a one-off event but continual process. It is not possible to have 100% strike rates and even a single slip can be costly
