Whatever the Maldives decided in elections is not right, they should have elected whom we would have liked to see winning.

The argument is rather simple : How is it that in Maldives an election is held on a single premise : Hate towards India. Its not who was elected but it was how he was elected. The pictures from that election are pretty jarring.

Imagine, Modi wearing a "F$#% Pakistan" T-Shirt. Even in India that does not happen.

Those tweets did not come out of mere childishness as people are suggesting but out of proper malice cultivated carefully by current Maldivian political leader, on order of China.

When you answer malice with goodwill, you get ridicule and nothing else.

I live kinda close to Lakshadweep, you need Inner line permit to get there. Once you land you'll be treated with an empty bunch of islands. There are no modern amenities. If you get really sick you need to travel to Kerala to get any treatment. Going to the Island is a headache literally I got sick one way or the other everytime I went there. Maybe we should hold our horses, the Island is not ready for all the publicity it's getting. Let there be more investments, demand for it. The momentary frenzy will die down.

Inner Line Permits are a relic of British time and have out lived their utility if there was any. I as an Indian have always felt them to be an insult! Inner line permits are required for Indian citizens but foreigners can visit only by registering at the police station after arrival.

Is expecting other countries to not poke their nose in India's farm laws, a "BJP Mind Control"? Remember, Indian politicians seldom poke into foreign affairs like farm laws. Neither does MEA.

Pardon me, but my hairy idiots were busy in more pressing issues like abrogating 370 pending since 1952 or so, fighting the worst pandemic since establishment of the republic, solving 50 year old enclave exclave situation with Bangladesh.

Been hearing these types of news since 2017. But hopefully works this time.

Obviously, currently lakshadweep has been kept restricted to prevent smuggling and terror activities. But with better security measures as seen with significantly lower terror incidences and government spending, some uninhabited Lakshadweep islands can be developed into a tourist destination. India will have to spend 30-40 thousand crores on it which is not a huge some for the country and its yield will be there economically and politically

It was more like a Babus vacation spot. The influenced one's got easier permits and guest houses. It's not because of security issues.

There are better prospects for Andaman and Nicobar. They are much bigger, as in bigger than Maldives. But sure, if it's easier to get to Lakshadweep why not. But it's too small for a giant touristy place.
