What’s happening is laid out very clearly in Islamic prophecies. There’s much debate about the specifics but I’ll just tell you the outcome. The prophecies say that the Antichrist will be protected by a Jewish army and will be killed in a place that is now near Tel Aviv by Jesus Christ. The Jews will be routed. Jesus will be on the Muslim side and Jerusalem will become the capital of the united Islamic caliphate.

Most people around me, through marriage, are WASPs and pro Israel and a good number of relatives and friends could be fairly called Christian Zionists. One German America 'born again' Christian even uses terms like 'Shabbat'. They are a weird bunch and there is no common ground between us. They don't put much faith in their Old Testament but still support Israel. They kiss those who hate their Jesus!! Weird people!

My neighbor is a WASP but doesn't like Israel. Except he can't bring himself to criticize any actions of the Biden admin or any Democratic administration's policies about Israel. Some weeks ago, he was over at my house for the usual Desi food evening and the current conflict came up. He was defending Biden even though he's against Israel. I told him: 'You support every action a Democrat President does'. He was very offended. But the more he talked about the conflict, the more he revealed his blind love for Democrats: Over the destruction of Syria. Over the destruction of Libya. But, of course, he objected to the Iraq War 2003 because it was a Republican President then. Our conversation got too heated; he had refused to eat the rest of his food. I persuaded him to finish his food. He finished and left. I think our 18 year friendship is over. I have apologized many times--not because who was right or wrong--but because he was my guest.

We all have our blinders and prejudices. And bringing religion into debates is usually fraught with risks.

The Al-Qassam sniper can't remain in that building since Israelis and their Western backers are heavily monitoring every movement in Gaza. He has to go back to the tunnel.
