Don't underestimate these Gulf Arabs. They will invest big sums of money in India. They have made their intentions very clear in the past.

With Pakistan these Arabs only have MoUs.
But the argument is.....WHY 😆

It was announced in 2019, Five years later they are still working on it.
Pledging is one thing and delivering the actual figure is anyone's guess.

Saudis don't need to invest directly

They can Route their investment indirectly in many ways

Basically Capital Just flows anywhere where there are Good Returns

The Colour of Money Doesn't matter when Returns are the only concern

And obviously the freedom of Repatriation of Money back by the investor ie No Restrictions on Capital outflows when ever the investor desires

I gave you the reason
The Indian market is not large enough and open enough for that kind of open ended investment

But the argument is.....WHY 😆

Why? Because the Gulf Arabs are backstabbers and look after their own greedy interests. They always have. Just have a good look at Palestine. The Gulf Arabs have proved it through their actions. The Gulf Arabs will walk over dead bodies to secure their interests.

Pakistan should be happy. It is good that the Gulf Arabs are sucking up to India. The lesser Gulf Arab meddling in Pakistan the better. Nothing good comes from Gulf Arab meddling.

China has also invested heavily in Japan. Economics is economics and politics is politics.

Wrong , Currently India has FII investment of 200 Billion Dollars in our Stocks and Mutual Funds

FII means Foreign Institutional investors

And FDI is annually 50 billion Dollars at least

First 3 months of this Financial.Year have seen 16 Billions USD in FDI

This 100 billion is spread over for atleast 10 years

For Increasing GDP to 5 Trillion USD we need investment from all possible sources

This year our GDP will be 3.95 Trillion USD

Going from 200 billion to 300 billion is huge.

Saudis are not interested in owning minority stakes in public Indian companies. They want private equity investments in assets that generate cash (read: Adani)

Saudis want direct investments in key infrastructure sectors India would not allow

The Gulf Arabs are in bed with Israel and India.
@Persian Gulf

It's funny. But here, the Israel is no more our man. 🙂
Israel has been handled by USA in such a way that it's on no return path.
We are no more with Israel or even Germany, which has similar story like israel 🕳️

India allows 100% foreign direct investment (FDI) in several key infrastructure sectors, including residential and commercial properties, highways, hospitality, education, and industrial parks.

The Indian market is not large and open enough for $100 billion sovereign wealth fund investment

SEZs of India is measured more than a match to the old SEZs of Singapore type countries. The Indian SEZs are connected with high standard of infrastructure, with port- airport etc.
The competitiveness of Indian firms are high, the foreign investors do get chance to learn from Indian industries. 🙂
We claim, FDI to India promise better return than China type countries 🕳️

It is more about the business environment. You may invest in Japan and expect to take your money back as long as you obey their laws. India? Everyone knows it is a hell for foreign investors. Are Saudis so innocent and confident to believe they can take their money back? They even couldn’t deal with Thailand when their jewelry was robbed by Thailand monarchy.

First, Japan fall among those OECD countries who are now saturated, they have no growth prospects.....
While Thailand fall among those Asian tigers who are now far left behind India - China. The competitiveness of India firms, to match with them and learn from Indian firms, the opportunity india has, which is less seen in ASEAN nations like Thailand now 🕳️

There is a reason why we now find india better place for FDI , for a better return of foreign investment as compared to China also 👍

India has still ways to go as an investment destination

Even the investors in the US that are considering India, view it as a temporary/transitional destination, until infrastructure is in place in the US (or other closer-by nations) to shift production. Trump is driving a hard bargain, and as we saw under Biden, the policies Trump started via a vi trade continued.

It will be interesting to see how India positions itself in a world with far higher competitiveness than even a decade ago. The GCC countries spend a lot of their FDI money into the US this past week, so it will be interesting to see what India is able to offer them.

Indian government choice for foreign investment is selective.
India doesnt promise good return for poor rated FDI.
It's a hard job to get approval for FDI in India 🕳️
