Modern Transport Technologies Group has transferred a batch of 10 VALDAI-45 vehicles to the Olimp transport and forwarding company, which will be used for long-haul cargo transportation as part of road trains with curtainsided semi-trailers and reefers.
VALDAI-45 tractor unit has a number of key technical advantages for long-haul transportation segment. The low curb weight and optimal geometry provide excellent weight distribution along the axes, which makes it possible to carry more cargo in a semi-trailer. Two fuel tanks with a total capacity of 840 liters provide a range of up to 3,000 km without additional refueling. The tractor unit is versatile and compatible with most semi-trailers weighing up to 45 tons.
The insulated cabin with an almost flat floor and a height of 190 cm is equipped with two berths, an adjustable armchair, climate control, a reefer and shelves. The tractor unit's power plant consists of 470-HP diesel engine with a torque of 2,200 Nm and 12-speed automatic gear box. The tractor unit also has a self-diagnostics function with an error code displayed on the dashboard.

As previously reported by the agency "AUTOSTAT", in the family of electric LADA e-Largus cars will be passenger and commercial station wagons. They will be equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electric engine with a rated power of 50 kW (short-term can reach a peak power of 120 kW). Two traction lithium-ion batteries are located in the engine compartment and under the floor of the body (in the place where the gas tank was located earlier), which allows to fully preserve the useful volume of the cabin and trunk (560 liters in the five-seat version).
The e-Largus dashboard has a digital combination that allows to control all systems of the electric car, charge level and range. The maximum speed of the electric car will be 145 km/h.

In August 2024, 148.3 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency report. They also note that this result turns out to be the highest for the last 40 months, i.e. almost 3.5 years.
Indeed, the last time more cars for one month was sold back in April 2021 - 171.5 thousand vehicles. Since then, the monthly sales volumes have not been able to overcome the mark of 150 thousand vehicles.
As for results of August this year, they are 9% more than a month earlier (in July 2024 - 136.2 thousand vehicles), and 35% higher than a year ago (in August 2023 - 109.8 thousand vehicles).
Approximately every fourth car sold in the last summer month belongs to the domestic brand LADA (38.6 thousand vehicles). Every eighth car is Chinese Haval (18.6 thousand vehicles), every ninth - Chery (16.5 thousand vehicles), every tenth - Geely (14.5 thousand vehicles), and every thirteenth - Changan (11.4 thousand vehicles). In total, these five brands own two-thirds of Russian car market in August. Sales volumes of each of the remaining brands did not reach 5 thousand cars.

According to experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency, the return of LADA Largus van to the number of LCV market leaders is due to the resumption of production of cars of this family in Izhevsk and their arrival at dealers.
In total, according to the results of the 35th week of the current year, 2028 new light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia - by 3.2% more than a week earlier.
