Hi,That is difficult to accept for many.
Even if there are “sources” to be claimed - the unfortunate reality is that everything that is up in the air in Pakistan is claimed to be some utopian reality.
Be it phantom oil and gas reserves, missile technology or this underground grey economy - all of it lives in either “fake it till you make it” or “lie so much and so loud people believe its true”
Final figure will be 90....inspite of the overall financial difficulties, induction process is still a goThe J-31 won't come in such a short period of time. Let's be generous and say that AVIC is expediting the land-based program (for Pakistan, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, and others). Even in that scenario, the J-31 must undergo a series of developmental steps, such as prototype testing, LRIP, weapons integration, etc. This will, at best, finish around 2030.
Next, I don't think the PAF would be the only launch customer. The promise of an ITAR-free NGFA is a big value proposition for AVIC, and I think the likes of Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, and others will also buy the fighter.
So, similar to the F-16, I think there'll be a gap between order and delivery - at least 2 years, IMO. Hence, the earliest the PAF can get the J-31 would be around 2032, assuming everything else in the chain succeeds.
The J-10CE was supposed to help the PAF modernize its fleet through the 2020s. It has a total of at least 80 on the roadmap, but fiscal constraints will slow that program too.
While I understand certain obfuscation - there is also a “PAF daily intelligence report” just as there “IAF daily intelligence report” delivered to staff on both sides that includes both HUMINT, SIGINT and more detailed sources compared to here - and they understand reality better.Hi,
You are forgetting the most important item---to confuse the enemy---to sabotage the enemy---to make the enemy chasing shadows---.
The enemy fighter aircraft procurement is in shambles at the moment---. It is running scared of its own shadow---running scared of its own incompetency---.
Don't you think it is our job to keep them unhinged and running around in circles---.
Since when is honesty needed in a mis-information campaign---.
Make the enemy so confused that it cannot tell a lie from the truth---and that is where they are at.
Today---Norway puts a restriction on a critical part for the Tejas engine---. Does pakistan has to do anything with it---.
So far, we've accounted for 20 units serving with the PAF.There doesn't seem to be an accurate statement about the number and price of the first orders of J10Cs purchased by PAF so far. Does anyone know anything about this?
So, can we assume that the previous “leaked contract” is the real thing? So far, we've accounted for 20 units serving with the PAF.
RMB???So, can we assume that the previous “leaked contract” is the real thing?
20 J10CE, 10 WS-10B backup engines, 240 PL-15E, some repair parts, supporting training and services. Total price: 12.87 billion RMB.
If this is true, the price is indeed a friendly price. It is very close to PLAAF's internal procurement price.
RMB???
The Chinese currency, in the English language, is usually denoted by “RMB” or “CNY”, or sometimes by “YUAN”. They all refer to the Chinese currency. In Chinese, we call it “人民币”, and RMB is its Chinese Pinyin abbreviation. “YUAN“ is the Chinese Pinyin for ”元“, the unit of Chinese currency. "CNY” is the English abbreviation for Chinese Yuan.RMB???

Little knowledge:
In Chinese, it is not allowed to use “number + object name” directly to express the number of objects, they must add the unit of measurement in between.(Units of measure may be omitted only in rare and specific circumstances.)
For example:
English description: "20 J10CE, 10 WS-10B, 240 PL-15E"
Described in Chinese as: "20架J10CE, 10台WS-10B, 240枚PL-15E"
Here, the words “架”, “台”, “枚” are the units of measurement for these objects.
Different objects use different units of measurement. The exact unit of measurement used depends on the properties of the object. Using these units of measurement incorrectly can cause a lot of trouble.
For example: "10架J10CE", which we would consider to be 10 real J10CE fighters. But if it's "10个J10CE", we'll think it's 10 J10CE fighter toy models. “10艘J10CE” is what we would think of as 10 warships of the type J10CE. This is the consequence of using different units of measurement.
“元(Yuan)” is the legal unit of measurement of the Chinese legal tender "人民币(Renminbi)".

In the past, many trade settlements between China and Pakistan used US dollars as the settlement currency, but now most of them use RMB as the settlement currency.
