I want to learn and correct myself, and may be so many others who do not know the facts, Please help, Gaza situation is emotional for so many of us, Forum is to learn from knowledgeable once.

I will appreciate.

Emotion and knowledge are not a good mix but that is only my opinion. It takes a calm and rational mind to learn from such a distressing situation. When you are ready for it will happen on its own.

Willingness is the key, I am, but seems like you are not.

Please, I am begging you, please.

It is only when a student is ready that a teacher appears, or so the old wisdom says. But what do I know? I am a student myself. Now let’s please remain on topic.

I never went off topic, I am trying to understand the role played by / efforts did by USA to diffuse Gaza conflict and saving innocent lives. I am asking for help.

I am sure that you will find many here who will help you as you wish.

I trust you that you will tell me only the facts and not some propaganda conspiracy, hence the reason, I am requesting you.

Please forgive me if I don’t have reasons enough to trust your opinion of me here.

Clearly the primary belligerents here are Israel and Hamas. At least that seems to me to be true.

With the withdrawal of IDF forces from Gaza City, and thr failure of Israel to eradicate Hamas from there, it's increasingly looking like a Hamas victory for the Battle of Gaza City.

The IDF has left behind a small number of Israeli SPECFOR to conduct asymmetrical warfare, and continues to launch air raids into the city, but so far they've failed to achieve anything.

Israeli's campaign have failed to achieve the desired results. Their main objectives were...

-to cut off Hamas in the North from the South. Result: Failure in stopping the flow.

-find and destroy Hamas' main HQ in Northern Gaza. Result: partial success by default, as they managed to occupy most of Gaza city and razed almost all of the infrastructure to the ground. Though they never found definitive proof of any large scale Hamas HQ.

-find and destroy Hamas' military capabilities. Result: complete failure. Hamas has shown itself to be nearly immune to Israeli attacks to degrade its capabilities, and continues to launch large scale attacks against both IDF forces within Gaza, and launch hundreds of rockets into Israeli territory.

-find and destroy Hamas' senior leadership. Result: failure; while they managed to kill a few serior members who are replaceable, they have not killed any key members of Hamas' high command, neither political nor military.

-to fully occupy Gaza. Result: failure, as they've had to constantly abandon entire areas due to heavy attrition and move on to more important objectives. This has resulted in Hamas regrouping in areas that the IDF literally abandon a day prior.

The Battle of Gaza City is for all intent and purposes, over. Hamas has in my observation won in the North.

The South is still a wait and see, though even there the IDF is having a rough time as pressure continues to build on Israel from even its closest allies to cut its losses and exit Gaza.
Good analysis.

I think the situation for Israel in the south is harder due to the increasing diplomatic pressures you mention. In addition, the IDF has stated it will conduct its operations in a very different way in the south (more 'targeted' rather than raze every building to the ground first then look for Hamas after), which will make it almost impossible to fully root out or 'destroy' Hamas in the south (something which, as you correctly say, they haven't even been able to achieve in the north despite destroying almost every single building there).

They claimed victory in the north, so I guess they will do the same for the south at some point, using evidence of turning Gaza to rubble as proof of their 'victory'.

Two issues, though:
- Hostages - Israel cannot negotiate with Hamas to release the hostages (obvious way to end the war) when their main goal is to destroy Hamas. It will prove that they failed to destroy Hamas and will not be acceptable to them after they set expectations so high.
- Netanyahu - he knows his day of reckoning comes when the war ends. So he will want to prolong it for as long as possible, which makes Israel's exit strategy much more dubious.

Please forgive me if I don’t have reasons enough to trust your opinion of me here.

fair enough.

Can USA use her influence on both parties to diffuse this situation and save innocent lives on both sides?

There were quite a few state department officials that were P3’s and P4’s that resigned from their posts in protest. I believe Falcon posted something about this on the old forum.

I think that is exactly why the current conflict has not grown wider.
What do you mean by, " Has not gone wider"?

other than so many innocent lives lost, conflict has spread out of Gaza, multiple countries involved,
