What exactly can the entity realistically do in a "pre-emptive" attack as they lack a large ballistic missile force or even cruise missiles that are much easier for Iran to intercept?

Apparently a Zionist airbase in the north has been knocked out by Hezbollah, at least for some time.

We simply have no way of knowing due to censorship but large fires could be seen coming from the base.
