Props to Iran for this attack, they actually retaliated sending a proper message. Most people found the first strike launched earlier to be a bit underwhelming but this one looked promising, showed more aggression and also serves as a warning.

Hodeidah is much less defended and relies on a few rigged boosted R-73s and MANPADs.

Yes I think they would - in the same way we are seeing now. Remember ballistic missiles barages are basically Irans primary weapon. They don't have a strong air force.

This is a game of attrition. Israel will use interceptors to only intercept missiles that can hit its strategic infrastructure. Other areas it may tolerate being hit for duration of a positive war outcome.

But it will likely degrade Iran's government and military might while doing so in return, both weakening it and the regime. If it gets direct US intervention then it will be over for the mullah regime.
