Tanks aren't very survivable in modern war. They need at least active defense system to defend against anti tank missile.
Tanks are also too few in numbers to make a difference in modern war. Kursk battle involved thousands of tanks. In this war there's only low hundreds tanks total.

Western Europe is not particularly cold. I lived in Manchester when I was little and winter temperatures rarely dipped below 0 C.
While it's true eastern Europe like Belarus, Ukraine, Russia can get cold in winter, this is not the case of Western Europe which has a maritime climate.

Look, I am still alive without gas from Russia . Temperature outside now in Germany +2C, Moscow -21C. Maybe Putin can reduce gas exports to China, and send back to his own people. The Russians are freezing in their houses without heating.

German troops marched into Russia wearing shirts in 1941 Barbarossa. One thing Germans can never understand is how cold Russia is compared to Germany. Germany is maritime warm because little land lots of water. Russia is continental cold because lots of land little water.
